WASC accreditation and affordability were the main reasons I chose this program. Like any school, some teachers were good, some were fair and some were pretty bad; overall most were good. I have enjoyed my experience at Capella thus far and would highly recommend it to students who are seeking an online degree. Pros of Capella University= professors are competent in their field and willing to give feedback and support to their students. The admissions and advisors are very helpful and supportive. The online library is extensive. The students give a diverse community in the course rooms. Cons of Capella University= sometimes the course of 10 weeks goes too quickly. If a course as too many students, it is difficult to do group work.

The pro are the conveince and the assessibility to staff. The cons is how expensive the tuition and fees are and the duration of the program is four years long. Most graduate programs in Marriage and Family Therapy are two years long.

The MFT program at Capella has been amazing. The interaction between students and faculty/staff is truly what you make it to be. You can be as involved and interactive as your schedule permits. That being said the 2 Residencies that Capella requires are fabulous. You meet person to person for the first time and work on theories and practices with each other for an intense, but fulfilling, learning and nearly unexplainable to someone who has not yet experienced it. Overall Liberty is an excellent school and you will receive and excellent education. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's there but am not able to continue with my Doctorate with Liberty because they don't have a program available that I could go into without completely changing my career path and area of concentration.
