What I don't like are some of the students. Whinners! They want everything handed to them on a silver platter. Geez! Okay, so the school cost some money. So what! You still got to study. It's so funny. The best students in my classes are the 30+ students. And, the 40+ students are even better. Why? Maybe because we are older and have been through life's experiences in general. We know that nothing is handed to us for free (unless you win Lotto). You got to earn it.
It's so insane. At SB, the teachers go out of their way to make sure that everyone gets an "A" in the class, and more importantly, a general understanding of the subject matter being taught. I don't know. My feeling is that if you don't want to put any effort into a learning facility...why go? If you refuse to study a measly ten hours a week (Man, ten hours is almost "subway time" each week for most people)...if you are incapable of passing simple tests (remind you...this ain't Princeton or Yale) each week...why enroll? If I had known I could have just bought the books to study for the pharmacy technician certification on my own I would have not wasted over 13 grand at this ghetto school. It is not worth the money at all. I was accepted into the Certificate Program, but I was told by their own staff and professors that I will likely not be accepted for a Graduate Program. Walden University is very flexible, which is great for working adults. The program will put you to work! What a student learns is dependent on his/her willingness to learn and people do drop out when they realize they cannot just skate by. If you want to learn and develop in you career then this is a good school

The biggest pro of my program is the convenience of being able to complete my degree online. In today's era it's not practical to quit working to pursue your educational goals. I love the idea of being home for my family while I complete my degree. The con is not being to personally take care of issues right away. Being online, as well as being in a different city, makes finding solutions to concerns a longer task. However, overall I'm very satisfied with my choice to attend CSUN.
