I've been denied 3 or more jobs after telling potential employers where i went to school.

That school is a waste of money and a waste of time. you are better off going to everest or a real college. i only know one person i went to school with that got a job in the field because she did her externship at a small office that was just starting out.

The class started off with over 30 people and ended with 12-14 people.

I went through hell when i went there. the teachers acted more like friends, male teachers... Read More were flirting with the students, the students were allowed to do whatever they wanted, and you have to teach yourself everything because the teachers don't know how to teach. anyone can finish the program. they don't care they just want your money.

Went to that school because i was told "if you dont apply now then you wont be able to apply until next year because this is the final week"
a month later i found out that was such a lie, new students come in every month! classes rotate in order from first course to last, so the first course always has new students that just came in. and they accept people without geds or hs diplomas. there were 16-17 year olds who dropped out of high school that attended there. yeah that is who i want to draw my blood!

They MAKE you draw each others blood in phlebotomy. they dont care who the weakest student is, you have to let them stick you with a needle. i let 2 people draw my blood because most of the course i couldn't due to a massive hematoma on my arm one of the students gave me by taking the needle out improperly the second she saw blood! (she lifted the needle up in the air, taking my arm with her, instead of taking it out at an angle like your supposed to.it was very painful and so was the purple bruise that was there for 3 weeks)
the teacher didnt even say anything, and the entire class was scared to give blood after seeing what happend.

none of those teachers cared about anything as long as they were getting paid.

im struggling to get a job in the field even though i graduated with high honors.
i came in as a highschool graduate and came out with a bs certification. now im working in fast food and retail.

dont even bother with this school you will regret it

I was a working adult returning to school. As such, it was important to me to not waste my time. Unfortunately, my experience at this school was nothing but a waste of time, money and effort.

The school put on a really good face but it seemed that once the financial papers were signed, the schools professionalism tanked. There was a rapid deterioration of the Medical Coding and Billing department.

There was constant discord with the department head/instructors and the school management. The staff... Read More showed its unprofessionalism by making the students aware of the discord and anger toward the school management. More time and effort was spend in giving play by plays to the students than instructing.

The students anger and dissatisfaction were continuously stirred up and enflamed by the staff. By the time I completed the course, I had totally lost all respect for the school, staff, and, unfortunately, the program.

I have not gotten a position in this field. I do not feel that I was educated enough to be able to work successfully in this field. I did not persue the state certification test, also because I did not feel that I was educated enough to be successful.

So, in the end, I was left with student loans, distaste of the school and no career in the Medical Coding and Billing field.

Please...buyer beware. Do not take the word of the admissions staff. Their job is to get you to enroll. Talk to previous graduates before signing any papers.

Remington has some good and bad spots. Sometimes as a person you have to know what you want. I sometimes knew what classes meant more to me than others. I knew in my mind what I could get away with. And as a person starts to get older they can also recognize that in other people. Some Instructors are very versed, others may be looking for something that is totally irrelevant. Although I may not get back to school at those costs there's some good people there. I developed Schizophrenia at age 22.... Read More I was completely exhausted when I graduated Remington College. I can tell you, your going to get a benefit from it as long as you sit through it.

I am absolutely disappointed in my experience at Purdue. I originally enrolled because I was told the school would guarantee clinical placement which is the most challenging aspect of any nurse practitioner program. Purdue backtracked and never secured placement at all. I had to find my own placement which delayed my graduation an entire year. Additionally, once they transferred the responsibility of clinical placements to the students they required us to contact 42 sites with at least 2 follow ups... Read More with no placement to assist us. At that point it's harassing the clinics which students may at one point want to work in. I also do not appreciate that they only reduced clinical hour requirements due to Covid for students that already had placement during the pandemic. I was enrolled in 2019 and due to Covid it was extremely challenging to find placement but the reduced hours did not apply to me. 14 regulatory agencies made recommendations for 500 hours to sit for boards yet Purdue kept it at 640 hours. Lastly, they kept certain information to themselves, such as students being able to do clinicals out of order. This meant that students who were not aware were delayed because the school never informed them that clinicals could be taken in any order. I cannot fully express how much I regret attending and recommending this program to a friend. I feel they use predatory practices to attain higher enrollment. I should have just attended Grand Canyon University where I could have obtained a discount on tuition by working as adjunct faculty. I would never recommend this program to anyone.
