This school, like any school has its ups and downs. I just graduated this month and have many opportunities ahead of me in the near and distant future. This school is great for those of us that are too busy for the usual brick and mortar school (kids, family, job, etc). The downside of this school is that you pretty much have to teach yourself for the most part in the first year. You will not have clinicals until you are close to your second year. A great thing now is the school just recently started... Read More having live lectures as opposed to looking at power points and reading chapters without a instructors input. The first year is mainly general education and basic anatomy, physiology, etiology, etc. Closer to starting your second year is where it all comes together at your clinical site. Here is where you need to do your best at getting hands on experience and ask lots of questions. Try and remember that it's a constant interview and your ultimate goal is to get hired on after graduating. I recommend shadowing a respiratory therapist for a couple of days to see if it is something you can see yourself doing. In my opinion this school is for the more "diy" types who have good self discipline, and self motivation. With hard work and time, you can accomplish this program a success. I would not recommended this school unless you have no other choice. I highly recommend attending a community college or university programs, which are way cheaper.

Inspite of what you have probably read, this review will be more on the positive side. With these other reviews out there, you might be asking, "how could this be?" My experience began with a placement advisor that assisted me with all my initial exams, application paperwork, degree plans descriptions to help me better choose the path I would eventually follow. Have I had issues getting in touch with professors, finance or my academic team? Sure. Everything to date has been minor or fixable and my experience so far with each has been acceptable. With me, my finance issues were worked out and professionally, I might add. Now, if I were to apply here all over again, I would check tuition rates and make sure my applications are submitted ahead of time, they helped me do this. Understand what it means to be a full-time or part-time student. I believe if you are talking only one class per session, you will not be a full -time student unless you can find a class that is 6 or more credits per hour (not possible). I BELIEVE the answer is 12 or more credit hours per semester is for full-time. If you are taking 3 X 3 credit hour classes and one 2 credit hour class, you won't make the cut that semester. Its not by how many classes as I understand. Anyway, I went with Web Graphic Design. For the WGD (CORE) side of the house, I have had a very pleasurable experience. Just like so many that have left comments, yes there are students that seem to only do the bare minimum or copy someone else's posts or do not participate with team events. WHO CARES, that is their grade. Unless proven otherwise, I will "assume" (quotes there) that the professors are professional enough to see through the BS and assign the appropriate grade to those SLACKERS (it is obvious what they are doing, there are some stupid people attending this college). Now, on the general education side of the house, my experience is not as high. I find myself agreeing with some of the other posts that describe a more self-teaching course then instructor led. There are course critiques, use them. If you don't then you should probably keep your comments to yourself, you have essentially become part of the problem. Make these educators do there job. Remember at the end of the day whose butt is on the line, not theirs. Last, it hurts me to read things like the school condones sexual discrimination, that was pretty bad write up, but why would someone put themselves in that position? I don't have the campus experience, wish I did to share. I have enough problems with 4 kids, 3 car payments, tuition and work. Summary- do the research, this is not a school to jump right into blindly, it is a for-profit (look it up). At the end, yes we have to trust what we are being told, if something does not sit right, ask someone else before you sign. So far, I have had a pleasant experience, I hope you will too. These reviews by the way, need to be taken with a grain of salt, consider the reviewer may have not been completely truthful. Consider they may have been one of the last students that were shocked when they were cited for academic issues and maybe left a negative comment out of spite. I will not say these reviews are false, just you may never know. Its not like we are arguing over a top ten school here. Oh, the high tuition? You knew it was before you signed? Not sure what the problem is when the first bill gets to you. Recommendation, have some money in the bank initially until you get settled (took me just under three months to work out my issues (thats is a sessions and a half by the way). Financial aid is usually late, remember, everybody and their mama wants it. Makes you wonder how many people are in that job? Plan ahead!!!!! Gees!

I started taking online courses and at first I loved it. The first course and professor was amazing. The second course was so boring that I thought I would die. There is no interaction with your classmates at all. Everything is done via e-mail and that's it. I thought we would have some type of interaction online but no. And, I knew going into it that Liberty is a Christian school but they take it to the extreme. The last class I was taking was psychology. We... Don鈥檛 let these reviews stop you from perusing this school. Granted I鈥檓 just finishing my first term, but I am BEYOND happy with my education so far. My teacher keeps us very well informed and engaged the entire class. He offers tutoring if you feel like you can鈥檛 quite grasp what you鈥檙e learning and we are constantly being taught information that we need to know for our boards when we graduate. I see in a lot of these reviews that they just want your money and don鈥檛 care about your education, I... Read More don鈥檛 know about the other campuses but when it comes to the San Bernardino campus we are only allowed to miss 10% of the term to pass, they make sure you are actually there and getting what you paid for. I also had two family members graduate and now work for Kaiser making an above decent salary. I鈥檒l come back and leave another review when I graduate 馃懇鈥嶐煄�

Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) was a good school, especially for just recently becoming a four year college. It's a little lackluster in some areas, such as anything having to do with a writing or English affiliated degree, but overall pretty extensive for still being in the process of expanding. Hopefully they will add more classes in the years to come. The sports at EFSC are great - especially the soccer team - and the school's wonderful diversity of students most likely due to it's recent... Read More history of being a community college. There are people of all different kinds attending EFSC, so it's never hard to find someone with the same interests as you, and the clubs are very enjoyable with a lot of active members in each. At Eastern Florida State College you have the option to simply get your education and not participate in clubs and/or social events, or you can live the full college experience (granted, without on-campus living).

I went in with an opened mind and I think I got out of it somewhat of a good. Experience? The teachers are actually industry professionals. In meaning they really teach and act like the class is a job. So the criticism is good and tough. I liked that because it makes you dig deeper into a better designer. Its one building with all the classes. So it feels like a you're at a job. You get how much you put in. My professors really graded so the work can be better. In all I liked it but it was too much...
