My school has a fantastic opportunity for new students, and returning students to excel in their fields of study. All without getting caught up in the city life. West Chester is a very nice and quiet school to attend. Most of the classes all take place within walking distance of each other which is very convenient. Read More buildings can be accessed on one street either through walkways or direct access. This provides a giant meeting hub on the street where students can get food and socialize before classes. One downside to the school is parking. If you, like me, commute to school then parking permits are a must. Otherwise be prepared to walk up to two miles everyday just to get to campus. All-in-all west Chester university is everything I wanted in a college life. Anyone thinking to attend this school would instantly fall in love.

Awful. The department is way too small. If you end up with a professor that dislikes you, good luck getting away from them because they teach every class and are also your advisor. And they will hire a professor that was previously fired from a job for sexual harassment. Espouses about inclusivity and diversity but really does not care and only wants your money. SUNY Oneonta isn't inherently a bad school per se. The professors in the sciences are all very outgoing and a pleasure to learn from. However, this school LIED to me not only about the prospects of my degree, but also LIED when coordinating my education when transferring. I transferred to this college from another SUNY school to save on tuition. Before attending Oneonta, I coordinated my degree track with academic advisors from BOTH campuses (all documented via emails and paper), with the understanding... Read More that I would attend my first school for 2 years, and Oneonta for the final two. Upon transferring after completing my first two years, I was told that they would not honor my class schedule, and told me that I would be required to attend for 4 more years!! This was not due to lack of credits. Simply, they would not allow me to stack my classes the way they originally agreed to, as a way to make me pay MORE tuition and lengthen the amount of time it would take to complete my degree. Additionally, when I first began, I made my career prospects very clear and straightforward, and was told that my degree would be substantial to help reach my career goals. Come to find out in my first year attending Oneonta, this was not the case, and my career prospects would require many more years of additional schooling. I was taken for a fool by listening to the advisors here. With all the lawsuits surrounding colleges lying to prospective students in order to garner more tuition money, I thoroughly believe that my case holds merit in this category. Too bad I can't afford to sue because I couldn't complete my degree and was not able to enter a career that would afford me this opportunity, but I suppose that's part of their game. In short, please be VERY VERY VERY careful about what these advisors tell you. Take anything ANYONE says here about transfers and careers with a grain of salt. This campus is very clearly just after your wallet and does not care about the outcomes of their students. BE CAREFUL. Don't make the same mistake I did.

The Materials Science and Engineering community at Georgia Tech is very supportive and has improved my experience. Coming to Tech, I wanted a university that would allow me to conduct cutting-edge research as an undergraduate student. I wanted a place that would be supportive of hands on learning. I have been able to do this and have been surrounded by peers that are also interested in research.

The classes are challenging at Georgia Tech but I believe that anyone who really wants to be an engineer... Read More can absolutely accomplish the courses. Tech pushes you to work at your maximum capacity and prepares you thoroughly for the work place. Each major takes a lot of credits to complete and should be looked at as an investment in your future. The pain is temporary but the rewards will last a lifetime. My favorite classes by far were Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer. Both of these classes I have used in my internships. The majority of professors are actually supportive if you seek their help. I learned that it is ok to ask for help especially if it will save you time and energy.

Tech has allowed me to get internships easily compared to other universities.

The physics program is great. The counselors are very helpful and the classes are hard without being hopelessly and frustratingly difficult, which can not be said for a lot of programs here. However, the physics program is the best part of my experience at this school. I've had endless difficulties with the professors outside of my major, and the financial aid department single-handledly halted my education for 3 semesters now. The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is an institution where the faculty want to see you accomplish your goals and will go physically out of their way to see you succeed. This was imperative when it came to my studies since I was an athlete, I would often miss class and required to make up assignments, quizzes, and tests. For campus life, this institution is filled with high-energy and great school spirit. Just like any university, it is what you make it. Soak up every minute of your college... These are the years that you find yourself, establish what you enjoy, and determine the type of people you want to surround yourself with. I feel as though UAPB does a great job of making students feel at home, while still providing an explorative nature to give students to grow within their environment. It was at this university that I could see the growth within myself academically and as a person. UAPB truly acts as a family and this can be seen if you attend by alumni who come back every year for homecoming. This annual event is full of friendly people offering food, words of encouragement, and celebrating their university that allowed them to make a better life for themselves. Thats what it is all about, giving back to those who made it all possible and helping shape current students who will create a better future.
