I do NOT recommend this University. There is no Dean really, so teachers do what they want. If you need to change the class for a mediocre teacher as Prof Curtin, you have to pay the full $$ again or withdraw, no help. If you are not in the military or spouse, they will not take you seriously. Look for more quality, this place is a jocke.

Avoid this school! I am enrolled and was told that I could overlap a capstone final course with my other classes if I maintain a certain GPA. When I went to enroll in the final course I was denied simply because of a flawed school code. I have maintained a 3.9 gpa. Now that I am finally able to register for the capstone, they are changing to the length of the course with a months notice. The beauty of the school program was the short 8 week courses. Now because I couldnt overlap my course I have... Read More

This is a great graduate program for those who are working full-time and military members who are constantly moving. The online capacity is very flexible, although there is a considerable amount of homework. All the professors are friendly and available, but you must be able to work independently with minimal help. Courses are quality and the cost of a graduate degree with APUS is lower than most comparable Universities. A negative is there is little to no career support and there are no opportunities... APU gives students more than enough resources and advice to succeed in your graduate courses. Advisers help guide you and answer any questions you may have. They help student’s complete enrollment and all other necessary and useful assistance such as financial aid procedures.

The pros of my program is that it is economical and convenient due to the course work being available on-line. The cons of my graduate program are applying for scholarships and my school is not included in the drop down school options. Also, there are no financial grants or scholarships from AMU. Thank you.

Since everything is online it is hard to have adequate communication when there is an issue. Sometimes the professors do not check their inboxes and this creates issues if a student is needing help. They did work with me when I had some issues and I was able to extend my course deadline.

I have not yet started the program, but the application and registration process has been painless. I have been very happy with the Admissions Counselor's at APU.

APUS Is an excellent school it is all online! So the best part is you can sit and chill in your pj's on the couch doing homework while you are intensly studdying. APUS is not an easy school, I have seen quite a few students drop out, but if you are looking for a degree you can be proud of choose this school I still have two years left but my classes couldn't be going any better :) Congrats with your degrees!
