I cannot believe that students would complain about the school work you have to put in to obtain a degree... That must be joking. I love this school and u have been through 5 universities always dropping out... This is the place I found that feels like home and challenges me... The only place that lined up my classes with certifications with the classes. You get what you put into it and if work and school work is too much for you... Well the world needs more people to feed us our burgers and fries.... Read More

APUS is FOR PROFIT, note that I do not say "college" or "university." They pay professors $7.00 a week per student (think of having a class of 3 in a graduate course), so don't expect stellar effort on their part to help you. Anyone can get into this school, just show up with a pulse and a check. Courses are an easy "A," so when you need to show your "skills" to others who have the degree from traditional schools with good reputations, don't be surprised by the stares and pity from others, as it... Superb program. Professors were top notch. Work was challenging in most areas (orbital mechanics and rocket propulsion courses come to mind)...and as with everything in life, you get out of it what you put in to it. A perfect program for those needing a space-related degree that is broader in scope yet still providing sufficient, specialized training to be relevant. The space studies degree covered subject matter such as astronomy, engineering and technology, spacecraft, economics, law, space operations,... Read More

My last professor had her PhD from UC Berkeley. She was amazing and taught us so much with all the support we could want as well. When I found this affordable graduate online program I thought it would not be scholarly enough. Each of our profs has had a PhD from a great university and basically if you want a quality scholarly experience, you can get it here.

The courses through the APUS are very thorough and complete. The counselors were on top of making sure everything was complete and my questions answered in a timely manner. I like it so well that my husband will be starting his masters through the same school in the fall.

Pros of the program have been the ability to conduct a learning environment anywhere and at anytime due to the program being online. Cons would be the fact that you do not get the actual college experience, and the lack of person to person contact with professors and students.

Pros: Very convenient and inexpensive. Higher level classes taught by good profs with current experience in the field (environmental science). All of the classes are highly relevant in the current working and political environment. Cons: I'm not convinced the profs hold us to the written standards, and so I get the impression it may be too easy to graduate from this program. Frankly, I don't want an online education to mean easy; I want it to be worth the same as a "brick and mortar" school.
