I loved my college experience from ASU. I chose to not take the typical route starting at the main Tempe campus and instead moved to North Phoenix to attend their West Campus W.P. Carey school. This campus more fulfilled what I wanted with an older average age of students. I was surrounded by adults, most of whom had a great amount of professional experience and loved sharing with anyone who asked. I had easy access to all of ASU's resources but with less crowd. There were also free shuttle services... Read More that took you to any of the other campuses so you didn't have to worry about gas, parking, traffic, etc. It was the best of both worlds for me. My degree program was so interesting and I loved my professors. They gave one on one attention when needed and were very open to share professional advice and personal stories in office hours. I would recommend this program and campus to anyone with similar preferences. If you are looking for the party, activity, large groups of people atmosphere that is typical for fresh out of high school teens/young 20's the Tempe campus also offers classes in this degree and caters to those needs. ASU has become a top school for business and I would recommend to everyone!!

I attended the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Overall, I had a very pleasant and beneficial experience. Perhaps my favorite thing about ASU was that they had a pre-law advisor that I was able to make an appointment with right away. I was provided all the information I needed to begin making preparations for law school. Additionally, I quickly found that there were multiple pre-law societies and clubs offered at ASU that I got to choose from. I found that my actual education at ASU was moderately difficult. My class work-load in the business program was relatively heavy, but I found that the teachers didnt require or encourage critical thinking exercises as much as I would have liked. Rather than challenging the students to break apart their analysis and answers within the classroom, a large amount of my professors simply spoon-fed the correct answers. Nevertheless, my professors opened my mind to new perspectives and ultimately helped me become a more educated and well-rounded individual. I was required to take theoretical classes as well as practical classes. This combination of knowledge has led me to feel prepared for the real-world while also feeling as though my minds limits have been stretched.

I can’t speak much of the school for an on-campus degree but the online program is very expensive for what you are getting. Depending on the degree program you are trying to achieve many of the core required classes are only offered one time per year, which can delay your graduation date 2-4 semesters. About half the classes I took for my degree, Business-Global Leadership, the ta’s did most of the correspondence and grading. So you are basically paying for a grad-student to do the professor’s work.... Read More Some classes have unexpected fees for lock-down browsers or an app that listens and records you while you take tests or quizzes. That would be good but the test and quizzes were open book and notes but you still had to pay the extra money for it. If I knew what I know now I would have attended a different school to complete my degree. How ASU has such high ratings in some of the nationally distributed magazines like Forbes and USNEWS is hard to believe.

I can tell you that my community college that I attended beforehand was a better school and had much better instructors. They screw you over financially and charge you a new fee every chance they get and are too greedy to waive fees for services you never use. I highly recommend going elsewhere and have already changed the mind of a couple of my friends who were going to attend here. Don't let them continuously screw you over financially like they have done to me, especially when you have other bills... Read More to pay.
