I was very excited to pursue my MS in Psychology here. We are stationed overseas, and there are not many options available if you want to continue your education. After my first year, I can tell that ASU does not put the same level of emphasis on their online program when compared to their on-campus one. I attended my BA online, and the university offered the SAME courses for online and on-campus students. It was rigorous and robust. It is not the same here, and online-students are at a disadvantage... Read More level. This is not the MS you want to pursue if you plan to enter a doctoral degree: there are no research opportunities and minim support/mentorship from the professors. They only offer the same 6-8 courses that do not provide any greater insight if you plan on working in the field of psychology, especially if you underwent a challenging BA/BS in Psychology. This program might be a useful frame of reference if you major was in a different field, and you intend to switch career since the courses aren't advanced as they claim. Or it could be useful if you just need an MS to advance in your career (check the box), knowing though that your level of expertise will not increase significantly because of this program. Be sure you find a mentor outside the ASU who is willing to share their knowledge as well as hands-on experiences if you want to be competitive and know what to do when dealing with the behavioral/mental health population.

My time at Arizona State University has been a great learning experience, which has correlated with substantial professional growth. Arizona State Universities dynamic online teaching program enables the learner to interact with the learning materials in a progressive way, which prepares the learner for practical experiences in the work environment. In addition, the University has offered assistance in financial planning and also provides routine reminders, in the form of emails, of various ways... Read More students can acquire financial-aid. As a result of attending Arizona State University my earning potential has been influenced in a positive way because I have developed new skills, which others may not have not had the opportunity to develop.

I am currently a student at Arizona State University in their grad program, online. I was afraid to attend college for grad school as I work full time, worried I would not be able to keep up, worried about funding, etc. I contacted ASU, as this is the college my daughter graduated from. I would recommend this college, as they guide you through the process of enrollment, as well as supply you with success coaches, online tutoring, along with easy access to instructors to create a positive learning... Read More environment. There are many online programs which collect money without creating a program that has the integrity of Arizona State University. If you want an easy program where you can pass with ease this is not the program for you. If you want a program that provides the rigorous education where you learn the skills to prepare you for the field you have chosen, then Arizona State University is the place you want to be. I know I will be prepared for my profession upon graduating.

The ABA program at Arizona state is a BACB certified course sequence. The instructors are available to answer questions about the class, and I always receive responses the same day. You have a success coach who can help you with anything that has to do with enrolling in classes, financial aid, applying for graduation or any other questions you may have, they also help you a lot through your first class. The classes require effort and you learn a lot about ABA and becoming a BCBA through the classes.... Read More It has helped a lot with my work as a behavior tech already.

I started my college career late in life. I am 54 years old and started my college life full time, after my husband died in 1995. I attended a local community college, then Eastern Illinois University moving on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating in 2009. I put off furthering my education, as I felt I would never ben able to afford college. If I did further my education, I wanted to find a college where I would actually learn something new, to further my abilities in working with children.... Read More So many students take online courses and go through the motions, but never really learn. I decided on Arizona State University in Tempe, as this is where my daughter graduated. I had thought about the University of Wisconsin, but out of state tuition stopped me. When contacting Arizona State University, I stated that I did not know if I would be able to afford grad school. I work as a teacher, which is not a top paying profession where one could afford tuition. The college worked with me in regards to applying for the right major for me, which is Applied Behavior Analysis and helping me through every step to get into the college, the program and most of all to secure financial support to complete my degree. The college wants their students not only to enroll in their programs, but they want their students to become successful in their studies. As a student, I am given a success coach, free online tutoring, and other resources to help me with success in the program. I have never had this much support from a college to complete a program. I know, as a special education teacher, I am limited on time and this program through Arizona State University and all it has to offer, has assisted me in my success of my classes. I would recommend this program to anyone. The program I am taking will not only assist me in becoming a better teacher, but it will help me increase my salary in working with students outside of school, helping them become more successful in life. This is my life long journey in life, to help children who struggle. I am a mother of three children, two of which struggled with disabilities in school and know how important it is to find services for children. Arizona State University has an exceptional online program with various graduate degree offerings. From the application process to the enrollment process, you are guided each step of the way. ASU assigns each student a "coach" who is available to answer questions or help you maneuver the d landscape of online learning. The financial aid office is very knowledgeable and helpful. Additionally, ASU seeks to connect learners from all over the country using Adobe Connect to collaborate and discuss learning.

I am a current online MS Psychology student at Arizona State University. Although I am new to the program, I felt compelled to write this review because I wish someone else had written it for me to read. I spent almost two years trying to decide what graduate program was right for me. I had many hesitations because I have not been in school for a few years, I had financial fears, and I felt like I was not experienced enough to be accepted. Finally, I gained the courage to apply to Arizona State University.... Read More It was a financially sound decision, the program description met my expectations, and the ability to complete it online fit my lifestyle perfectly. My first class is Professional Issues in Psychology. This is the only class I have taken so far, but it has already changed my life. I know that it may sound dramatic, but it has. Not only is the professor great, but the class addresses every insecurity I have about the MS program, potentially starting a PhD program, and a career in Psychology. To have those fears addressed immediately is priceless, in my opinion. If I had chosen a different program, and it did not have a class like this, I can tell you that my future may not be the same. I have already narrowed down PhD programs that I am interested in, joined professional associations, and expanded my network. As far as the online learning environment goes, everything is very open and organized. I can communicate freely with the professor, TA, and other students. Even if you have never done online learning, it is a very easy set up! The due dates are reasonable, and all the information is worthwhile. I highly recommend this program. Lastly, I will talk about my only bad experience. I saved this for last, because I do not want anyone to see this as a reason to avoid this program. I truthfully wouldn't have even written this piece, if I didn't think it could help someone else. When you first begin the application process, you are matched with an enrollment advisor. They will call you and ask what questions you have, give you information about the program, and send you an e-mail with all the information provided. My advisor sent me an e-mail with the application deadline and other information. I attempted to submit my application almost a month before the due date I was given, and was informed that I owe a $50 late fee. I reached out to my advisor, and they suggested I call tech support. Before I could do so, I received an e-mail from my advisor stating that there was a mistake, he gave me the wrong due date, and that I do owe a late fee. I sent an e-mail and attached a screen shot of the date I was given, and stated that I shouldn't have to pay based on their error. I was simply given an apology for any inconvenience this fee may cost. There was no responsibility taken for the error, and I ended up having to pay $120 to submit my application. As irritating as that experience was, it is avoidable. Please, just remember to double check all the information you are given. Do not let this deter you from choosing this great program.

Arizona State University is unlike any college or university I have attended. I completed my Bachelor's degree at two separate institutions, and I can honestly say that I never received guidance the way that I have at Arizona State. In 2016, Arizona State had 71,946 students, yet I have never felt forgotten, unimportant, or on my own. Throughout my entire graduate program I have felt as if I had an entire team of people in my corner. The classes have prepared me for work in the real world, the faculty... Read More and staff are always prepared to guide me through to the next step , and I feel comfortable with my course load while still feeling as though I am challenged. Arizona State University is an incredible place, and I am so glad that I chose this school.
