This has got to be the worst school I’ve ever attended. The teachers don’t care the faculty doesn’t care all they want is your money then they brag at the failure rate and charge students for the same class again. I saw so many of my fellow students y’all about this is there second or third time taking the same class. The expectation for CRJ 505 is not clearly stated from the beginning and they change it as they want. Stay away from this school. And this is coming from someone who graduated with... Read More

Many years ago, I decided that I wanted to become a Lawyer someday, at first I wasn't relatively sure what category of law I wanted to study. From the time when I was born, I lived on a Native American reservation, the area here is rural, and to be honest, there isn't much to do. I often heard stories from my friends who lived in the city talk about going to the mall, movie theatres, and riding the bus in the metropolitan area where they reside. I was a tad jealous of the closeness and convenience... Read More

After finishing my bachelors in business I thought I wanted to explore a degree in Criminal Justice, ASU is ranked very high so I applied and was accepted. That's when it all fell apart. The School of Criminal Justice is horrible, to say the least. Very unprofessional, the instructors change their syllabus during the year and have a clause in the syllabus to cover them. The entire program was ran by what seems to be Dr students and have no idea how to actually run a class. The worst of all was Redner-Vera.... Read More

The Criminal Justice Master of Arts program at Arizona State University is an absolutely amazing program that has allowed me to take my classes in an online setting, while still feeling like I am in the classroom with other students. Other than the core courses required for the degree, there is an array of other choices that allow the student to customize the path to their degree. Because of this, I will enter the workforce educated and prepared for the future.

ASU provides a diverse community to not only learn from, but to grow and prosper from. I am so grateful to be a part of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice; it is like a huge family. The connections I made with my professors as well as with my advisors are both networking opportunities and lifelong friendships. I am so fortunate for all of the opportunities and events I have been able to be apart of from student friendly jobs and work environments to clubs introducing me to some of my... Read More

The CCJ program at ASU is incredible. There is such a willingness from the Professors to help us succeed, and the other students are very nurturing. Though the program is rigorous, the resources available are innumerable, research opportunities are fantastic, and the program itself fosters an excellent learning environment. I could have not picked a better University or program to call "home."

Arizona State University is a diverse school with many different opportunities. I started at ASU in August of 2013 for my bachelors wanting to become a Forensic Scientist and focus on earning my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Shortly after taking an elective course in Criminal Justice and learning about law enforcement and how police officers help their communities everyday I discovered that my place was not in a lab but in the field. Changing my major after a year of being a Chemistry major was... Read More

Overall the Criminal Justice & Criminology program at Arizona State University was a great choice for me. The teachers are tough yet caring, and you learn more than you expect going in. Career services and advising for this program in particular was top notch, I was emailed with networking and job opportunities nearly every week. ASU is definitely on the rise.

The Arizona State University MACJ program was excellent. It provided an opportunity either online, or in person to study the current challenges facing the criminal justice community. I was able to focus on terrorism, which I feel is the most relevant area in today's world. Participating in the Study Abroad program allowed students to see first hand the impacts of terrorism in the Middle East. I highly recommend this program.

Taking masters classes online and it is such an amazing program! They really know how to administer online classes unlike a lot of other schools. The teachers I have had so far have been amazing and nothing but helpful! I can't wait to continue on this education path with ASU!

Overall, working to obtain my master's degree in criminal justice through ASU has been a great experience. From the beginning, the counselors and CJ department assisted me in getting everything set up and ensuring all of my questions were answered and needs were met. The level of instruction and coursework has been excellent and has allowed me to advance further in my career. If given the opportunity to redo my program, I would not hesitate to do it again through ASU.

I had a good experience getting my MA in Criminal Justice at ASU. For most courses you had the choice of 7.5 or 15 week semesters. The course load was doubled for the shorter semester. I chose the 7.5, and would concentrate on one class at a time as I did two per semester. The professors were knowledgeable and responsive, and I did learn a great deal.

I researched many institutions before deciding on the ASU online program. I have been extremely pleased with the quality of the instructors and the quality of the classes. Taking online courses is like being in the classroom, you get what you put into it. If you read all the required reading, do the assignments to the best of your ability, and participate in the class, you will receive a great education. ASU provides solid instruction and good student support.

I really enjoyed the flexibility studying online gave me. ASU is a well-known university and offered many different choices and degree options. All in all I found my program enjoyable. However, with the career path I chose, I still need to pursue more education, so sadly, the degree I earned from them thus far has not helped me that much. That being said, I did enjoy learning there and that is why I am currently pursuing my second masters degree through their online campus again.

Im a full-time online student. The ASU portal they use is extremely easy and convenient. Everything is laid out perfect for you. The classes are accelerated so that's a good thing that I'm able to graduate in 10 months. However, I find that the instructors are pretty bad and put you in bad spots to really get A's. Directions are not clear for assignments and they take forever to grade stuff & reply to emails. Seems like they grade by whatever side of the bed they get out of. I like CJ instructors... Read More
