Working full-time as a firefighter/paramedic I found the value and quality of education I am currently receiving from Arizona State University to be second to none. At ASU I have found the entire process from applying to completing coursework at graduate level to be affordable and with the help of the excellent staff supporting the online graduate program I was able to find the flexibility in my course load for me to be successful in my pursuit of a graduate degree. I really can't say enough about the staff at ASU and my experience thus far has been amazing. I would highly recommend the online programs at Arizona State University, especially for working adults, as I believe that ASU has found the right formula for being affordable while providing a supportive and flexible balance to ensure success for their students.

The Educational Leadership online program offered me the flexibility to provide for my family while working towards my individual goals. Class assignments and discussions followed a similar workload to what I experienced during my in person B.S program at ASU. The professors were great at communicating via email and I truly felt that I gained knowledge from others in my cohort. I love that ASU understands that people have varying circumstances that may prevent them from attending set class times-... Read More but the online option helps get rid of that obstacle.

Thus far, I have enjoyed the graduate program in which I am enrolled. It is online, which makes it accessible and convenient. As with any online college program;however, I feel there is a large amount of "busy work" that one might not necessarily experience in a face-to-face course. Having attended other graduate programs online, I am very pleased with the quality of education and support provided by ASU. Learning is delivered through a combination of book study, recorded lecture, course discussions,... Read More and supported assignments. I have yet to begin work on my Dissertation;however, the dissertation project and associated learning is interwoven in many of the classes I am taking, so I don't think it will be as overwhelming as it may seem when I begin working on it. I am only within the first few courses of my program, so that is all of the feedback I am able to provide at this point;however, overall I would recommend the program for anyone interested in going into the field of Education Leadership. It is a great learning and networking opportunity and very convenient for those who work full time.

The pros of completing an online degree/certification are most of the fees associated are either decreased or eliminated, making it affordable to attend. Coursework can be completed when I have time so the schedule and work load are flexible. Cons to online degree work come when projects or assignments are given that require working in partners or groups.
