Degree: Educational Leadership

Working full-time as a firefighter/paramedic I found the value and quality of education I am currently receiving from Arizona State University to be second to none. I searched for a few years after finishing my bachelor's degree and found the majority of graduate degree programs in the public administration and fire service fields of study to be either overly expensive or require too much of a time commitment for graduate studies, which can be difficult for a working adult with a young family, like... Degree: Educational Leadership

Great online program, accessible faculty and resources. I love the Master's in Public Safety Leadership Administration program; it is a hybrid of criminal justice, public policy and public administration. I would recommend to anyone who works full-time and would like to obtain a graduate degree.

Degree: Educational Leadership

The Educational Leadership online program offered me the flexibility to provide for my family while working towards my individual goals. Class assignments and discussions followed a similar workload to what I experienced during my in person B.S program at ASU. The professors were great at communicating via email and I truly felt that I gained knowledge from others in my cohort. I love that ASU understands that people have varying circumstances that may prevent them from attending set class times-... Read More

Degree: Educational Leadership

After having my children, I delayed my professional goals for some time. I could not see how family, work and school could all fit into my life. I decided to take a chance and give ASU online a try. I have not been disappointed. My courses have been very organized, insightful and immediately applicable to my career and the online coaches have been very supportive. I highly recommend ASU online to any working parent that wants to advance in their career without sacrificing family..

Degree: Educational Leadership

Thus far, I have enjoyed the graduate program in which I am enrolled. It is online, which makes it accessible and convenient. As with any online college program;however, I feel there is a large amount of "busy work" that one might not necessarily experience in a face-to-face course. Having attended other graduate programs online, I am very pleased with the quality of education and support provided by ASU. Learning is delivered through a combination of book study, recorded lecture, course discussions,... Read More

Degree: Educational Leadership

The pros of completing an online degree/certification are most of the fees associated are either decreased or eliminated, making it affordable to attend. Coursework can be completed when I have time so the schedule and work load are flexible. Cons to online degree work come when projects or assignments are given that require working in partners or groups. It's difficult to get those who aren't doing their share to produce better quality of work in a timely fashion. It's also challenging to communicate... Read More

Degree: Educational Leadership

ASU Online is convenient and a great opportunity for students who need flexibility to further their education. All of the faculty and staff are helpful and I always have a quick response to a question or concern. ASU Online is also affordable, which makes it a strong competitor and better alternative to those for-profit "universities."

The program is well organized and the content of the classes is generally interesting. Some of the class facilitators have been better than others. Sometimes the feedback is useful, other times it isn't. Ongoing communication with facilitators and collaboration with peers is difficult.
