Degree: Secondary Education

Mary Lou Fulton offers an alternative path to teaching. Whether you're starting a new career as an educator or are looking to improve your credentials, you will become more knowledgeable in education policy and practices. I enjoyed going through the program with my cohort, I really got to know my peers, and I worked with all of them in different ways throughout the two years. It gave me the ability to meet teachers outside of my school district and hear about different perspectives on education through... Read More

Degree: Secondary Education

ASU has been noted for its innovation. I am proud to have been a student within the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. ASU was very hands on with my learning. Despite being a graduate student, I did not feel alone. I had support from every staff member I reached out to. Working full time as an educator while attending school can be very stressful, but my instructors were accommodating and made sure what I learned, I could take with me into the classroom the next day. I left my classroom feeling inspired... Read More

Arizona State University has provided me a spectacular education in the teaching field. I graduated in December of 2015 and am currently seeking my masters degree in Gifted Education. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to broaden their horizons with a degree from the renowned Mary Lou Fulton School of Education.

Degree: Secondary Education

Even though it has been several years since I graduated from Arizona State University, I can still remember the profound effects that my attendance at ASU had on my life. I can remember my first day at ASU. The energy that accompanied the thousands of students making their way to their classes was intoxicating. The art work that was available for sale on a daily basis, I have yet to see out side the University. Everything I needed was right there, at the center of the campus, and my life evolved... Degree: Secondary Education

Arizona State University is a phenomenal university. I specifically attend the Mary Lou Fulton's Teacher's College. Classes are primarily practical with ideas and instruction that can be immediately applied in the student teaching aspect. Advisers and professors are accessible and knowledgeable.

Degree: Secondary Education

I am currently enrolled in ASU's M.Ed. and credential program. This is an excellent program with great, experienced faculty. You receive a lot of insight into the minds' of students and learn all the current research on best practices in education. You also get to complete the program with the same cohort of full time teachers, who get to know each other and support each other.

Degree: Secondary Education

The graduate program in Secondary Education at ASU has good intentions-- they want to help mold educators for our modern world, not just keep the same teaching styles from years past. However, the method in which the instructors teach is for the most part identical to the old methods of teaching. The professors could benefit from "practicing what they preach", and I have learned more from my substitute teaching than I have from my classroom instruction.
