I am just beginning my graduate program at ASU and so far my transition has been fairly smooth. Each person that I have contacted about admissions or finances has quickly responded and aided me along in this process. The classes for the nanoscience program are all well rounded and collaborative. One of the drawbacks is that some of the classes are only offered periodically. Depending on when the program is began will depend on if a student gets to take certain classes they want to take. That or have... Read More to take an extra semester to take those classes. This every other year type offering makes financial planning more difficult because the nanoscience program does not have any funding. All though there may be funding through the physics department. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and learning from a top tier school.

Completing my bachelor's degree and moving into a job immediately never gave me chance to think about pursuing master's degree. But once I started working gradually I realized how industry works in real. Gradually I was exposed to new technologies, work cultures and potential opportunities that I could aim for. All these opportunities or bigger career goals can be achieved with a higher degree and formal education. Graduate level education may seem tough but I am confident that it will be quite rewarding... Read More in the future. The biggest advantage of being in Master degree program is gaining in depth knowledge of subjects chosen. It is helping me in achieving deeper understanding about the subjects and has given me a better insight. Graduate Studies is all about combining Industrial experience and Research to improve the quality and redefine the way we accomplish things. The Masters program also increases our exposure in understanding how the industry is functioning in different parts of the world.

Choosing a graduate school is no easy task. I researched numerous program websites, looked through college reviews, and when it came time to make the decision, it was an easy one. Fulton Schools of Engineering which ranked number 43 for its graduate engineering program.
