My Ed.D. Program was great….until it wasn’t. Four classes in and four high A’s later, I was told I had been enrolled in a dissertation prospectus that I was not aware of. I got an email requesting a Zoom about it, I responded and never heard back. This prospectus was apparently a Pass/Fail course, so I received an F and was suspended permanently from the school. My pleas just to talk with someone about it all fell on deaf ears, the Dean would not even respond to me. Nobody could accept that maybe... Read More

Avoid the MAT program. The classes are easy, the department is incredibly disorganized with what appears to be high turn over. It's not very flexible and they are not interested in working with students. You get what you pay for here. Having numerous degrees under my belt, I can truthfully say this was the most miserable experience.

I could not have enjoyed my time at Arkansas State University more. The faculty was incredibly supportive as I achieved my Master's degree in Education. I took my courses online and felt that the ease of completing my master's on my own time made it a wonderful experience. In addition, the courses were organized well. Each professor made it easy to find what materials and books would be needed for each course I took and completed. Blackboard was simple to navigate and I found discussion boards to... Read More

Quick Summary: The affordable pricing and accreditation are not worth the lack of structure and accountability. This review is based on 3 online classes, 1 of which I ended up dropping halfway through the semester. 2 of the classes (Survey of Business Law and Survey of Operations Management) were prerequisites for the actual MBA program while 1 was an actual MBA class. I will break down the 3 classes below. Survey of Law - This class was the only one that felt organized. The professor's videos were... Read More

I would not recommend doing any online courses or degree through Arkansas State University. The price is good sure but they are so disorganized and I ask questions about my program and my adviser and student coordinator don't know answers. The online courses have over 5oo students in them so you just feel like a number. Also, the instructor doesn't even grade your assignments and discussions! There are academic assistants that do all the grading. If you ask the instructor a question they just say... Read More

ASU admitted students to multiple master's programs in the Health Science department and then suddenly made the decision to get rid of all the degrees. Some of the degree electives were already gone before I started my first class. Students were stuck in classes they did not want to be in. I was able to take one course from only one of the specialties I chose (I signed up for the education and the administration certificates). The online courses and school server were plagued by server problems;... Read More

This college is one of the few colleges that actually prepare students with grant writing and program evaluation courses. Surplus aid is paid within two weeks of course beginning. I highly recommend this school. A 2.5 or higher gpa is good. Check out this school first.

ASU has small class sizes and a campus that is easy to get around. It's located in a town that still has a small town feel. The professors are helpful and well qualified. There are plenty of activities and groups on campus for a variety of interests.

A college degree helped me get a better paying job. Be cautious of student loans. They are helpful at the time, but take a while to pay back.

Arkansas State University offers several online Graduate Degree programs. The program is in an accelerated format, with each course lasting 7 weeks. I am currently pursuing the Masters of Public Administration program, which offers two tracks from which to choose: Government and Non-Profit Management. The Program is American Society for Public Administration certified. The instructors are well educated and knowledgeable. Theyre attentive, and encourage interaction with them and also with classmates.... Read More

Overall, Arkansas State provided me with a wonderful, affordable (each credit hour is $288) educational experience and I was able to earn my M.S.E. in Educational Leadership in two years. Most of the classes are very informative and the professors understand that students are very busy as professionals and therefore, the coursework is not overbearing. I would highly recommend this program to any educator interested in getting their administrative degree.

My career and knowledge expanded tremendously after attending this program. Educational leadership entails details that set foundations of academic success.

Working in the fire department means that I have an unusual schedule which is not favorable to gaining a college education. I am attending Arkansas State University's online Masters of Public Administration program and am scheduled to graduate in December 2017. This program has been great, especially for students with abnormal schedules. The curriculum is challenging and the university staff is extremely helpful in assisting you towards your academic goals. I would highly recommend this program.

Arkansas State University offers a great online program! I chose ASU because of the informative online courses that are offered by the professors. The online courses allow you to move at your own pace, but still interact with colleagues who are taking the class as well. I would definitely recommend ASU to any student pursuing their Master's Degree.

I have been highly satisfied with Arkansas State University so far. I was drawn to this school due to the affordable tuition costs. I went through the online Master's Degree program. The Education Master's College had some kinks they were working out due to state mandate changes but my courses were easy enough to complete from home, in my own time. I knew what I needed to do before I ever started and when I contacted professors for help I nearly always got great answers.
