I was needing to take a specific course for a certification I am pursuing. I paid the tuition costs, was never provided login information to complete this course, and when I reached out they told me my access had expired and offered to do nothing to help simply stating it was my fault for not reaching out sooner. I’m sorry but if you never provided access then that’s a you problem not me. Note: this particular online program is apparently managed by a vendor that doesn’t even work for the university... With one exception, every one of my online facilitators was dedicated, experienced and established in their field. I appreciated learning from instructors with diverse backgrounds. The program itself is very organized. I appreciate the structure of the program because the synchronous learning model connects you with your teachers and peers. They are always trying to improve the student experience and are responsive to any issues or concerns you may have. Expensive, but worth it!

While there are good things about this program, I am overall disappointed in the quality of the live classroom component, which is the reason I chose this program over an asynchronous program. Facilitators that run the classes feel much more like TAs than professors for the majority of courses. The part of the program that is currently working are the asynchronous lectures and reading materials. The program uses a combination of both to educate its students. If structured, face-to-face learning (virtual... Read More

The institution of Boston University became my home away from home. The staff within the department of psychology cared deeply for their students and worked tirelessly to ensure student success. The degree you receive upon graudation is incredibly well earned as the classes are both rigorous and throught provoking.

BU is an amazing school and I loved my time there. The graphic design program was great. It has changed a lot since I was there and has gotten even better. The college of fine arts is small and intimate in such a higher school. I highly recommend it. The professors and staff in CFA go out of their way to get to know you and help you pursue your goals.

This is a review for the BU MAMS program. Do not attend if you are trying to get into medical school. The statistics they give you is all smokes and mirrors. Many students do not get into medical school and are left with no job prospects and a lot of debt.

Upon entering BU, I would highly advise an incoming student to enter into the school in which they are planning to get their degree from. I was placed in the College of General Studies (CGS). Since there was a core curriculum I had to complete, I wasn't given much opportunity to explore different areas of study during my freshman and sophomore year. However, once I entered into the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) to focus on my psychology degree, I enjoyed my experience a lot more. I was allowed... Read More

Individual experience in this department is greatly dependent on your advisor/lab. There are many ambitious and political research professors here but if yours is not powerful and decent be prepared for an uncertain and unfriendly experience. Competition is stiff among graduate students and the culture is awkward, relations among faculty were similar. I recommend careful consideration and planning before entering this program and if you do enroll have an exit strategy. If things aren't great after... Read More

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Boston university. Although I did not end up going into the field that my degree is in, I feel the information I gained has helped me not only in every day life but in my new career as well. The university is very welcoming of students that are different and non-traditional, which is something hard to come by.

My experience with Boston University was very mixed. There were definitely some great parts- the diversity and classes available. I also encountered a lot of frustrations. 1) Study Abroad: During my time at BU, there were no study abroad opportunities in my desired location. That is fine, BU offers the option to create your own study abroad program. The way in which I had to go about doing it was very difficult, with a lot of red tape. It wasn't a nice, simple process as it should've been. I went... Read More

Boston University has a very large and diverse student body, with tons of options for what degree you can pursue or career you are interested in. However, the cost of attendance is likely its biggest weakness. Depending on your major, it seems hard to justify the cost of attendance if your desired field is not a particularly affluent one. However, if you know what field you are interested and can afford it, then the school is one of the best places to learn and grow, and I loved the year I spent... Read More

The School of Education at Boston University is uniquely positioned to offer undergraduates a rare combination: the opportunity to forge strong connections with kind and caring scholars within a tightly-knit community along with access to a very wide array of research assistantships, clubs and extracurricular activities, and jobs and internships in the broader Boston community. Excellent school. Excellent Program. I was between job and wanted to get into technology. Because of my degree, I had a job offer before I even graduated. The online program was well designed. Instructors and TA's were always available to help or answer questions. My online classmates were intelligent and reliable. Attending and graduating from BU was the best decision I have ever made.

The program is great for people who have no background in public health at all. If you have any schooling or experiencing in PH or any PH related subject try a different school. Most of the curriculum is focused on teaching very basic PH concepts. The program was recently changed and these changes have really downgraded the program as a whole. Also they seem to be losing faculty members, and many of the faculty members that do remains seem overwhelmed and unable to really connect with students in... Read More

Boston University offers an incredible network of intellectual peers, esteemed professors, worldwide opportunities, cultural diversity, and the ability to freely develop yourself. You may be wondering, "is it truly worth the cost?", and my response is "yes!" My time at Boston University was one of personal growth, adaptation, and recognition. I attended Boston University and graduated in 3 and a half years. I loved the changing of the seasons and how easy it was to navigate BU's campus. Not to mention the school pride demonstrated on an annual basis with the Bean Pot. What I enjoyed most about attending BU was the classes coupled with the ability to live and thrive in the city of Boston. Absolutely would not recommend if you have Republican based political views. Boston University is a predominately liberal shool and if you even attempt to present another political view you will receive nasty comments from other students. This school prides itself on diversity but again, if you are a republican you will not be welcomed. BU makes it clear that they only respect the left and could care less about the students that have other views given their past emails regarding the 2016 presidential... Read More

There are not enough adjectives to describe how bad this schools is for an MS in BME. DO NOT ATTEND!!! You will end up with A TON of debt for no value. The school does not care about you and most of the teachers don't either. I will probably be successful, but only by my own doing. The school has done nothing but make astronomical barriers.
