The graduate program for Physical Education is very competitive. Out of the 45 applicants that applied only 15 got into the program. Pro's to this program are that it is an amazing program. About 90% of the students who exit the program have found jobs within a year. The program is of very high value, especially for Kinesiology-Physical Education. The Con's to this program are all the additional costs. As grad students we pay different tuition fee's than the undergraduate students and on top of that... Read More fee we must also pay an additional fee to support our Master Teachers. Our Master Teachers are School Certified Teachers who help guide us through the process of becoming a teacher in our given subject. The workload and networking all come with taking this graduate program. We are expected to work on our lesson plans and student profiles every night. Along with the workload, we must also communicate with professors and other students in our cohort at the end of each week to discuss our lessons, classes and master teachers. Cal State Fullerton has a great Graduate Program.

I am a current student in the Combined Credential/Master's program at CSUF. It is a 16-month program in which I will earn my multiple subject credential and my M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. There are several pros to this program. It is accelerated, which saves you time and money. The school has excellent connections with most school districts in the area, so when you attend CSUF for education, you are inheriting a good reputation and becoming part of a great network. The professors are incredibly... Read More supportive and caring. The classes are engaging and help you acquire pertinent information. As far as my particular program goes, I would give it a score of 10 out of 10! The cons I would list have more to do with the school itself. As with most state schools, they are incredibly crowded and working with the administration can be difficult. Expect long lines in the financial aid office and at admissions! Parking is horrendous. It is a commuter-school, and the number of parking spaces simply is not adequate. The parking pass per semester costs over 200 dollars. However, many people commute to this school because it's centrally located, and living at home keeps your costs down. As with most Cal States, there are more undergraduates than grad students, so most social events cater more towards undergrads. However, I have had great experiences with the people in my program, so I can't complain. In spite of these aspects, I would still recommend CSUF's education programs to anyone. They are a bargain in terms of price, and you get a top-notch education.
