As a VETERAN, I do NOT recommend. I was harassed by being threatened with withdrawal from course at week 5 because I questioned something the Professor mentioned. I had a question and the Professor took offense by it and sent me a message, this is not a joke, he said "you are not a smart person and you attacked my academic reference." He also mentioned discontinuing me from the course. Long story short, there was a case opened because this Professor was excluding me from the coursework and telling... Read More my team members that they should not communicate with me. This Professor, is a veteran and he knew that my husband is an active duty member and that I myself is a fellow veteran. The Deans that took on this case were of no help, everything was swept under the rug. My GPA dropped from a 3.97 to a 3.92 because he waited to the very last week (Week 8) to drop my grade a whole point average by giving me a 0 on a final assignment with no explanation. I completed all assignments and when I reached out to the professor and his superior, my case was passed from one person to the next without a solution. Then I found out later that they closed the case without my knowledge and no resolution. My husband already reached out to VA about the matter and found out that there are many complaints from veterans on DeVry. We have a lawyer because I do not wish this kind of treatment, harassment and reprisal, to happen to anyone else.

I began my journey with DeVry University in 2010. I am a student with special needs and the university acknowledged it and worked with me for closely to make sure that my academic needs were being met. Special accommodations were made as far as tutoring and extra time to finish my assignments etc. For the most part I didn't need the services, but it was comforting knowing that I had the same opportunities to complete my course work and graduate irregardless of my challenges. I do enjoy my graduate program online. Its my first time doing online however, my lecturer and course advisor made the transition easy. I love the weekly discussion area that allows me to share my thoughts on topics and learn from my online mates and lecturer. It also builds a bond with everyone in the class. I love the ability to access tutoring 24hrs and have access to online live lectures. My lecturer is easy to reach and respond promptly to questions. I really have no con's. With my graduate program I was a blessed to access a scholarships so I am grateful. The program goes by fast but learning is definitely part of the process.

I love Devry, and chose to go there because of the specializations that they offered at the Keller Graduate School. The best part of the graduate program is all the support that the staff gives to ensure that all my needs are being met. From enrolling and registering for classes to orientation, I truly feel that Devry has given me a firm step towards the career I hope to achieve. The pros of taking classes at Devry's Keller Graduate School of Management is that the classes are only 8 weeks, so you are able to tackle 2 or 3 graduate classes at a time for a short period of 8 weeks. With the layout of their classes I should get my Masters degree in a year and a half. I love that I can take online graduate classes. One of their many practices is that the professors are there to help their students and respond to their emails and calls promptly. They truly care about the students. I am overall happy with my schooling at Keller. The only cons that I can think of are that the population of graduate students are small that it makes the student social life on campus kind of quiet. Keller makes an effort to do activities, but they tend to be small and quiet. The online courses are very much self-study, at times I wish there were ways that the professor can actually teach us. Maybe a virtual live chat session where we can hear our professor teaching, I think this would helpful.

The pros are that the program is designed for student success. The professors and faculty truly are accessible and make the process of applying, registering, and taking courses less stressful. There are also many resources and developmental tools, such as the tutoring center, online support, library, computer labs, and career center. The pros of my graduate program is that you can do almost anything with your MBA, become a partner of a large firm, open up your own business, easily slide into an entry level management position and you learn the ins and out of the way the business world works.
