I spent the 2022-23 school year at fau and had a horrid time. professors range from extremely difficult to extremely incompetent. there are professors that will outright tell you that they are going to try to fail you and other professors are graduate students with no clue about how to teach a class. they take money for everything and once you are charged with it to your account there is no going back. I've sent countless emails to many departments, always met with hostility and attitude. they do... Read More

I went to Florida Atlantic University for my undergraduate degree. I majored in Psychology and Sociology, and I went to this university for four years. I enjoyed my time here because I believe that professors have impacted my education. Like at any university, there are many opportunities, but it is up to the students to take the initiative in the resources that are offered. For example, when I emailed my professors about research and lab positions opportunities, they were able to assist me. I learned... Read More

Florida Atlantic University is an outstanding school. The teachers are very knowledgeable, the faculty are very helpful and responsive. There are many clubs and organizations available and the residence halls were very nice. The students are very diverse and friendly as well.

During my years here at FAU, Ive had the privilege to be part of multiple aspects of the culture surrounding this university from organizations to various positions on campus and I must say that this university has definitely forged me into the man I am today in both overt and esoteric manners. At the undergraduate level, my interests became more focused. Through various interactions with individuals from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, I became very interested in the inner workings of... Read More

Florida Atlantic University is an incredible university. It is not too big, yet not too small. The stadium is unreal and the tailgates are too. The main campus is in sunny Boca Raton. Truthfully, the city itself gives you enough adventure and inspiration. The majority of the working population are young executives ready to help. There are many internship opportunities and high-paying jobs for full-time students at FAU. The professors will work with you to succeed. The city is expensive, but you get... Read More

I graduated in 2013 from Florida Atlantic University with a BAC in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. I completed one year of a masters program at FaU in clinical mental health counseling where I worked as a graduate assistant at the office for students with disabilities. I feel this experience helped prepare me for the workforce, opened my eyes to cultural sensitivity in the work place, was a very rewarding opportunity, and helped me network with professionals in the field.

I attended the Harriet Wilkes Honors college. I would recommend this school, the professors are wonderful. The classes are small and the other students are very helpful. Because it is such a small school, all the student know each other and it really feels like a community.

I attended Florida Atlantic University for my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and this summer I will be returning as a Graduate student to work on my Master's degree in Educational Psychology. Returning to FAU for Grad school required no second thought- I knew that I could rely on FAU to provide the same level of stellar education I received in my undergrad time. FAU has an incredible variety of dedicated, and intelligent professors, true professionals who love their chosen field of research (cognitive,... Read More

I was a dual major in college, and when I compare the quality of the two colleges I belonged to, I would choose the English department hands down. They have a variety of professors, but more times than not you'll find one or two professors you'll stick too, especially they teach your required courses. The psychology department is problematic, though classes are sometimes large and you'll probably be taught by a teaching assistant, that's fine and expected. The problem is when the majority of the... Read More

FAU is an interesting place. It has a lot of resources but it's not very organized. The professors are generally very nice and supportive. It's a great place if you know what you want and you're willing to put in the work to get make it happen.
