While this university is highly rated, I feel it is over rated. Some instructors are engaged and useful, while most are performing at the minimum. Online instruction receives minimal interaction and entails mostly reading the book and being tested on this. The input from most instructors is minimal. Some instructors provide no feedback or corrective measures at all. Grades are often delayed in getting to the student resulting in absolutely no idea of your final grade with half the grades not provided... Read More

I loved this school. Having gone to a school for undergrad I was less then thrilled with. This one made believe college can be a fun experience. All of the professors were helpful and curteous. The staff was very concerned and cared about me. I would receive an email every semester from my advisor just checking in to see how I was doing.

I am very satisfied with my experience at Florida Atlantic University. The administrative staff for the online accounting program were very helpful and friendly in explaining the whole process from beginning registration to the curriculum of the program. The online master's program is very convenient especially for individuals who are working full time or have a family to take care of. The classes are fully held online with live lectures recorded for students to view in their own pace and time. The... Read More

My graduate program is preparing me and providing me with requirements I need for my CPA license. I also feel that the program is great at incorporating real-world aspects that I can take with me. On the down side, the cost of living is very high, and I feel that some professors could show a little more respect for students.

Our program is one of the best in the US. I am definitely proud to be a student at FAU. The faculty are very knowledgeable and helpful and this place is definitely a good choice for graduate students. The area is extremely gorgeous and refreshing and there are a lot to do in the area. The only disadvantage is high rents, which makes sense considering the great location and weather, and would not be a big issue when sharing an apartment.

I am enrolled in the executive accounting program which specifies in forensic accounting. I really like how everything is offered online from watching lectures to turning in assignments. This is very helpful for busy professionals that can do the work and watch the lectures at their own desired time. The only negative comment I have so far is the cost. Obviously cost is always an issue with everything, but this program is significantly higher in cost than the usual accounting masters.

I am currently in my second semester of the forensic accounting master's program at FAU. I am an online only student as I live in Arizona. I am enjoying my classes and find them to be relevant to my current position. I am paying out of state tuition but I believe it will be worth the cost! The program is an executive program and is offered both in person, online or a combination of in person/online. I had been out of school for 14 years before I went back. I work full-time plus and have two teenagers.... Read More

FAU's Master's of Accounting program provides students with the maximum benefits for their tuition. The faculty is supportive, not only in educating the students, but in their career choices as well. I am extremely fortunate to earn both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from FAU.

I think that the graduate program at Florida Atlantic University is built to be very interactive and challenging, however the students often are not pushed to maximize their potential.

I thought the program was in tune with industry needs. As I was leaving, there was an excel class that was to be offered, that is to become a part of the program which I think will be beneficial. $4,000 per class to me is a very steep price, which equates to almost $1,000 per credit. There has to be affordability issues as this seems extremely high. The program didn't seem to focus much on the "forensic" aspect of accounting, which this program was touted online.

The graduate program is a tough one especially in accounting. Taking into consideration that there is not much variation from one accounting course to the other this is a pretty straight forward program. The good part about the program is that the school has a CPA advisor on staff to guide you through the required courses and what else needs to be done in order to complete your CPA licensure which is the main reason many students graduate with a degree in accounting. The cons as always in every school... Read More

Multiple campuses across South Florida provides convenience to a multitude of students. However, this high distribution of students between campuses takes away from the sense of community.
