FAU is an excellent school for the purpose of gaining knowledge, but in choosing a school like with many other things in life you may want to keep in mind your reason for attending. If your main goal is employability you may want to look into both the track record of the school and of the degree program before choosing. FAU, and the Masters of Biomedical Science degree in specific, helped build foundations for research practices that Ill be using in my profession for years to come, but in terms of... Read More

I like that I have access to medical school faculty to ask advice for my future medical school applications and I like the kinds of research projects that are taking place. The financial aid is also great, especially with the tuition reimbursement you can get for being a TA. On the other hand the program is undergoing a transition (for the better), so during my time here, I have experienced some administrative problems. Overall, I think it is worth the money.

The program is a great way to improve your resume for health professional schools such as medical school or dental programs. Also, the teachers and faculty are very accessable and timely in their responses which I found to be very helpful. The TA internships for this program are very limited, however you can be put on the list for left over TA positions in the Biology and Chemistry department. Searching for scholarships is difficult however worth while. So far I am enjoying this program thoroughly.... Read More

The graduate program offers an opportunity to learn more about medicine and have the potential experience of medical school in order to see if that is the route you should be taking. However, there are not enough financial aid opportunities, which is why I am seeking out as many scholarships as possible.
