Georgia State University has many positives that make me feel satisfied and happy with the time I spent there. It is a very large and diverse community, with many resources available for students. The downtown style was new for me, but not only did I become used to it, but I actually grew to like it and even miss it today.

It was a school where I was able to take advantage of the resources given to me in order to kickstart my career. I learned a lot through my time in college even though times were a bit unprecidented with COVID happening. My first two years were all in person, my 3rd year was all online and my 4th year was hybrid. The learning style was a little tricky but I was able to get through college and graduate early and have a full time job right out of college!

I graduated with a B.Sc. in Psychology back in May 2020. I felt overall the academic part was very interesting. I enjoyed pretty much all the upper-level Psychology courses, and learned a great deal both on neurobilogical side and more on the qualitative side. I understand far more about myself and relationships, and read voraciously on various topics on a regular basis to this day. There were a lot of people I met; although, I wish I spent more time developing my relationships with the people I... Read More

I had a great experience and very supportive people around. The academic team was dedicated to make sure that we understand and apply whatever we were being taught. Also, the facilities I would say were adequate for learning in my field. The computer labs were modern and of updated technology.

Georgia state is a decent and affordable school foe Georgia residents. I find the outcomes to be similar to UGA in the southeast region especially. Definitely a commuter school, so if you're looking for more a party school Georgia State isn't that. The Robinson College of Business is great and lead to me getting a high paying entry level job fresh out of college.

I would absolutely recommend my school or university to other people because I am proud of my school and university. We have one of the best state programs in the city. The best thing we offer is exclusively the curriculum because we have so many amazing professors

I am a current student in the Georgia State University Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, and I can honestly say this has been the worst academic experience I’ve had in higher education. The number one issue is disorganization. The program feels completely uncoordinated, and the administration and faculty do not seem to communicate effectively. Emails often go unanswered, or take far too long for a response. I have even been outright ignored by the clinical liaison. Registration for class is... Read More

Administration is terrible and nonresponsive. Advisors are worthless as are most of the so-called professors. I would not recommend. There was always some issue and you have to fight tooth and nail to try and get help. I thought I would love this school, but sadly I will be so glad to graduate and get out of this disaster

If you are a veteran, I highly recommend finding a different school. It was almost every single semester there were issues with my G.I. Bill on the GSU side of things. Rather that be them not submitting all my classes to the VA or trying to charge me more because they did not record my G.I. Bill correctly. This has happened every single semester I attended (7 total) and they almost always blame the student and are little to no help in resolving any issues.

Forget about getting answers to your questions from registrar's office or office of admissions, or financial aid. They make it impossible to get ahold of someone and only take questions through the website. They use COVID as the excuse 3 years after covid. They basically don't want to pay employees. Cheap school. Go elsewhere to avoid headaches.

Admin have ridiculously high salaries but don't care about the students. The professors are really good but are treated poorly by the admin. The ones who teach the most are paid the least. And the school no longer has tenure. All the best profs are leaving.

I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. The professors are the only people you can actually reach and half the time they don't have the answers they should. On a personal level I've enjoyed my professors so far, except the Financial Statement Analysis professor who seems to enjoy the failure rate in his classes and he doesn't actually teach anything. This MBA program is supposed to be for people that work yet the professors expect you to put in 12-15 hours of work a WEEK and that's just one class!... Read More

DO NOT ENROLL IN THE MPA COHORT at GSU. The entire program is a waste of time and money. Unless you are ok with teaching yourself, I encourage all to avoid this program. The program recruiters and literature lie by saying the program is for working professionals with no prior experience / degree in Accounting. This is not the case. Instructors constantly complain of having to “explain accounting basics”... The education is subpar at best.

I've never experienced so much grief. Teachers that can't send you assignments, advisors that can't tell you what to do, and very lacking customer support. Do not waste your money with this school and their attitude. You will come out of this place hating the world and wondering why people are so rude.
