If you're interested in a trash masters program full of repetitive & useless tasks, then you've come to the right place. Guaranteed to detract from your overall happiness, career development, and financial health. Expect unresponsive professors, professor turnover, time wasted on repeat questions/assignments, and a cohort of students who constantly question: "How did I get here?"

I enrolled in the a masters program with a teaching credential. I intended to transfer from WGU as they did not have an internship agreement with California. I was to begin my program at National on July 5. On June 2 I contacted advisor to ask what courses would transfer from WGU. He said he would get back to me. He never did. I then learned that I was not intern eligible as I needed four classes. I emailed my advisor to ask when I could take these classes and how long this would take . He never... Read More

I’m currently in an Education program. I’m two classes away from finishing and I can’t stand this place anymore. Got a warning letter because I was supposedly being “unprofessional” by standing up to a “professor” who thinks that she is better than the students and had a narcissistic attitude, but I get in trouble! I have two degrees from a different school and I was happy there. I had no issues with that school, but here? You get no help, whatsoever. Half of the professors are awesome! The other... Read More

Disorganized from administration to instructors and everything in between. There is no consultancy to the structure or of classes some instructor will say do it this way and another will say forget about all the assignments were doing it my way .... so be prepared to work twice as hard every single class and hope the instructor likes you because that’s another nightmare . Try not be bring up any concerns if you want to pass the class.

Loved the night classes. Some fantastic teachers. However, let's be honest, this place, like so many others like it, is a scam. There's NO reason you.couldn't cut the time it takes to complete these degrees by HALF, since most classes are regurgitated info spun into a different course. Absurd! We need an educational RESET in this country..Stop wasting time, energy and money on useless classes. It's bad for the environment. And get a fast paced, concise PH.D program on line.

I have been with National University for over 4 years working on my masters in education, and this school really is the worst that I have come across. Not only are they super-expensive $2000.00 per class , very expensive and not worth the money. Also they have horrible teachers that do not help. You're basically teaching yourself . If I could start all over again I never would have signed up. This so called university is a joke. Save your money and time and go to a real university.

I am a working teacher in the public high school setting and NU's online master program really helps me to complete my higher education goal. I find most of the instructors here are very caring and responsive. I don't know how much they get paid for teaching online graduate courses since most of them are working in another full-time job. But I feel most of them actually have gone above and beyond in accommodating their students. One professor, Barbara Wong suggested me to submit my assignment ahead... Read More

Horrible horrible and so unhelpful. I graduate and never received my diploma. They claimed they sent it but it never arrived kept calling for six months never got a straight answer. Finally do to moving and life I put it in the back of my mind. Now they claimed they sent it but it never arrived. They want me to pay for another diploma since it was never retuturned. If it was sent I would have it. Do not attend this unviersity they only care about profit not their students.

Beware. If the course you need to complete your master's degree is not being offered, you will have to drop out of the program like I did. It is incredibly unfortunate. The advisors are slow to respond to your e-mails. There is low enrollment in the university.

Not a good place to get a degree. Poor administrative practices regarding grade appeals, you would submit the appeal but they would never say the instructor is wrong, even though it's clear as day. The graduation team is never available to take calls.....you are made to wait a long time to get your diploma. Prior to enrolling you can get almost anyone you wish to speak to, upon completing the enrolment process that becomes a nightmare. Be careful what you are getting into

DO NOT DO National. I regret so much joining this program. I've had to juggle my classes which are accelerated AND had to deal with financial aid mishaps AND TWICE had emails sent to me notifying me that I would have 24 hours to schedule, study and pay for a required state test before moving on to my next course? My advisor was of absolutely no help, nor were the 'specialists' assigned to me, but I'm still paying $1,895 a month and RISING. One specialist just straight up passed me on to the department... I didn't finish my degree here. I am leaving. The program is disaster. Disjointed and confusing. Paying $2,000 a month for this hot mess is ill-advised. Advisors are inexperienced and not helpful beyond the very basics. Even financial aid is a mess. I am 4 classes in, and my loans still aren't sorted out. I have had to fill out the same form 3 times. How a program that teaches teachers can be so bad is beyond my comprehension.

This is the worst school, over-priced, non-accredited, so what good is a degree? Faculty come and go because of unfair practices. During my tenure, I lost the best professors in the world. They are told they can be replaced. No tenure. Not a good place to get a degree. Poor administrative practices regarding grade appeals, scheduling, graduation and extensions.

The program is fast and online. For student teaching they place to at a nearby school district. The price is really high, but the instructors are ok. I had 3 or 4 different counselors. Some good some bad. The credential representative is terrible. He is disrespectful and makes sure you know he doesn't want to help you. I have met with him and called him a few times and each and every time he was spoken down at me. Others in my program had already warned me that he is rude and disrespectful, but I... Read More

I had nothing but problems with National University. I had to repeat the same assignments in every class, regardless of what the class was supposed to teach. I did not obtain valuable knowledge. I did graduation with a 3.7 G.P.A. This is not because they taught me anything.I was denied the opportunity to do an Internship to obtain my teaching credential. I had to quit my job and go through student teaching unpaid because of mistakes on their end. I am not way further in debt than I ever should have... Read More

Stay away from Northcentral. Everything they do is geared towards profit. I am shocked they still are accredited. They raised tuition every semester and also changed their continuous enrollment policy. I was in the Education/Sports Leadership program and had the same two professors for every class. This is one of Dan G's business. He owns the cavaliers, 1-800-Flowers, Quicken Loans; all cmpnaies which make him an expert on running a college, apparently.

I felt NCU was excellent! My advisors were easy to contact and were very helpful throughout the duration of my program. What I especially liked was the timing of the courses, and that you didn't have to wait for an official semester to begin, before you could register for a new course. To be able to register based on your schedule- when you finished a class and you are ready to enroll in another- was a tremendous asset. I did not experience any unexpected rate hikes at all, and actually found NCU... Read More

I am really enjoying my education here at Northcentral University. I like the types of assignments. The experiential learning helps me with the application of concepts in my career. I have been able to apply each of my courses to my current situation. I have been able to benefit from this education immediately and do not have to wait until my degree is completed.
