Degree: Pharmacy
I currently attend Nova Southeastern University's college of pharmacy and am pursuing a PharmD degree. If you are interested in applying to this program, they highly emphasize on community service programs as well as your academic profile throughout the application process. Overall, I highly recommend this program to undergraduate students interested in pursuing pharmacy. The professors are excellent and willing to help their students.

Do NOT go to this school if you have any other options. It is the epitome of a degree mill, though for some even that is too good a title. They will take in people whom they are certain will never earn a degree or benefit from the limited offerings they have available, take as much money as they can from them, then spit them out worse off than they came. If you try to give NSU the benefit of the doubt, they will do everything they can not only to bring you down academically, professionally and financially,... Read More

I appreciate how rigorous the Doctor of Pharmacy program is at Nova Southeastern University, and as a result I feel that I will be ready to work in any Pharm D. position in the future. I hope that the curriculum will become more global-based in the near the future, which will allow graduates to have the option to work abroad in other countries.

The graduate program has great opportunities for research and community involvement. The professors have a diverse range of backgrounds. The only negative is the high tuition of this program.

Overall I feel very optimistic about the graduate program I am currently enrolled. I plan to obtain a residency in psychiatric pharmacy after completing my Doctor of Pharmacy and have already started research with the residency director at NSU. The program integrates new technology with traditional teaching styles. My incoming class was the first class required to have an iPad in which we take exams on and many use in class to take notes rather than paper and pen. They also broadcast lectures to... Read More

Studying pharmacy at Nova Southeastern university has its pros and cons. Pros: Area of south Florida is nice and full of things to do. Its close to home to those of us that are from Miami. The college is mixed in with other health professionals so we can interact with other students in other programs. Workload is manageable and many professors are caring and approachable. Cons: Overcrowded or unavailable study areas become a huge hassle around test time. Some of the faculty is not great at realizing... Read More
