Pros: Cheap living, good program, almost all PhD students funded and most masters student has funding through TA, love the people here, a lot of fun stuff to do if your definition of fun is not just alcohol and nightclubs. Cons: Should make a very good effort to impress profs to take you as a grad student.

Pros: The atmosphere on campus is very competitive and vibrant. Most courses are very competitive and test a great level of knowledge and dedication of the student. Most faculty are very approachable and friendly. Financial Aid offered are very limited. So international students have to struggle a lot as they don't have work permits to support themselves.

Purdue is a great school especially for engineering. The faculty especially in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science is brilliant and the graduate coursework and research opportunities are great too.

Pros: Highly ranked Engineering Graduate program, with good lab and classroom facilities. Very safe campus and calm neighborhood. Great return of interest after graduating. Funding opportunities are plenty but student must take the initiative of finding them. Cons: Not a good social life around the campus, except for summer. I think our grad program should focus on teaching the way writing paper rather than just basic courses. If students just are taking basic courses for requirement, we can not learn any newthings from Purdue.

Using Purdue's ProEd distant learning program for a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Purdue pioneered the online master's program, and allows students from anywhere in the world to earn the same degree as students at the main campus. Classes are exactly the same one's as the main campus lectures. This online program removes any stigma associated with earning an online degree, but you really can't call it an online degree.
