The law school is great. Plenty of teachers with expertise in their respective fields. The school has a lot of great resources, especially the career center, and it's great to go to school in DC if you are looking to get experience in government or in the private sector.

George Washington University Law School is a pillar of the community in Foggy Bottom. It has a huge alumni network, gives you a solid education, and has a very energetic atmosphere. Come here if you like to network - don't if you don't. I say that because you won't find a job from this school unless you are in the top 15% or you like to go out there and meet & greet people, take them out for coffee, etc.

I had a great time at George Washington University School of Law. It was a refreshing collegiate experience that really prepared me for success as an attorney.

The school attracts many important people such as Supreme Court justices and attorneys who have argued in front of the Supreme Court. The facilities in the school are not up to date unfortunately and communication between the administration and students is pretty poor. However, I do like the faculty members. Most of them are really supportive and willing to help with any of your needs.

Competitive student body pushes you to achieve more

Large JD program, so you can get lost in the crowd. Professors are generally great, but the staff (clerkships, career, etc) are generally unhelpful and often rude. The area is unbeatable for internships and high quality experience can be gained, even during the semester.

Great school for those interested in what the DC legal community has to offer.

While the professors are great, the staff communicates very little with students regarding financial aid and future career opportunities.

D.C. is a great place to be to network and interact with top academics. However, classes are too large and there could be a better feeling of community on campus. The Foggy Bottom neighborhood is probably to blame for that.

Biggest problem is the cost of being here. Few complaints besides that. A solid education.

The professors are great, individually, but the culture of the school is ugly and overly focused on the superiority of legal professionals.

I really wish there was more ethnic diversity and financial aid, but the geographic and income diversity is great. Going to law school in DC was a great choice. There are so many law internships and jobs. Plenty of opportunities to build your resume if grades don't work out the first year.

GW Law offers a top-tier legal education in the heart of Washington, D.C. Located in Foggy Bottom, GW Law provides students with opportunities that many other law students across the nation could only dream of. However, to be more competitive, GW needs to increase its position in the rankings to somewhere above Georgetown, as many top-firms only consider "T-16" schools.

Great opportunities afforded to students outside of class (organizations, lectures, opportunities to get involved in DC area law). Faculty is very good with a few exceptions (inexperienced teachers) and an above average writing program.

Really solid legal education. Some weak professors but strong overall. Being in DC is a huge plus, with the big exception of the cost of living. Overall, a good choice for those with interests focused on the capital.
