I regret doing my MAIA program here. The faculty and students here are rude and arrogant. The staff don't care about the students at all. The students here are the worst in terms of character. They swear and degrade others. If you want to act like a petulant high school student, ESIA is the perfect place to be before you go out into the real world! Besides, the Career Center is abysmal. I have seen many permaterns after graduating from here. However, the school still has the audacity to list internships... Read More

Not great, but not terrible either. The program gives didn't give me much flexibility in terms of when and where I could take my classes. But there is some decent support for students. The curriculum is decent and all the professors are generally knowledgeable and helpful as well. The best aspects are its ranking and location.

This is a great program if you are trying to break into the field of international affairs in DC. There are a lot of opportunities to explore different specialties in the field and to gain hands on experience. Many of the professors teach at night and have day jobs in the top organizations in the field. They are willing to make introductions and recommend you for internships.

I am having a great experience at GW. My classes are interesting and the professors are engaged and willing to help. Assignments are rigorous but not excessively so. I manage to work full time while in this program. Most of my classes are discussion based. When done right this method is amazing- thought provoking and critical. Not all teachers, especially the adjuncts, are as skilled at this. The content is always good though, as are the connections and networking.

Graduate and undergraduate programs at GWU are both high quality, but graduate programs seem to draw a broader range of students and experiences. The International Affairs program is very good as a terminal Masters program, with a focus on professional development and the flexibility to work or intern full or part time while attending.

Great school if you are in a political or international concentration.

The program offers great flexibility for working or interning students. It is a professional-oriented program, with many amenities to help with professional development in addition to academic development.
