GW's counseling program is excellent in ways. You are getting a solid education from professors who are top in their field. The professors really do care about your education. But the down side is, EVERYTHING is so expensive. From tuition to cost of living. It can be very rough.

George Washington University is a very excellent school. Located in the heart of DC, you learn so much about life and culture in your surroundings, while also receiving a very solid education from George Washington. My biggest complaint is the cost of tuition is unreal, with little financial aid given. Also the cost of living is ridiculous and it is tough to get by and adds to your stress of school.

GW is a very excellent school. I am getting a solid education here. I am positive that I will be able to get a job in my career field once I am done with school here. The negatives are that they weren't exactly honest about what you were getting when you entered the program when it came to things like financial aid and program length. Also, the cost of living is ridiculously expensive.

GW is a really good school and it is a good program to get into. You will really learn a lot from educated people that are currently in the field themselves. The negative thing about GW is how expensive it is to attend and the cost of living is ridiculously high.

I feel like I am getting a quality education at a quality institution. So far, my classes have been challenging and I have grown in my career specific knowledge. The cons of my program is the amount of help/involvement from professors. I have not met with my advisor once, however, I have been able to successfully navigate the program by myself.

My program is accredited by CACREP, which will be highly valuable throughout my career. The coursework required by this organization has guided GW in creating a highly experiential and valuable program of studies for students in GSEHD.

GW's Art Therapy Program has an exceptional staff and an outstanding connection to the surrounding community for one-of-a-kind hands on experiences.

By far the biggest "pro" for my counseling program is the quality of the instructors. The faculty at GW are world-class and I could not have gotten a better education elsewhere. I feel very connected to the school and to the community, and I feel that going to school in the nation's capital has afforded me networking opportunities that I would have never gotten elsewhere. The downside to GW is that it is very expensive, but I absolutely feel like my coursework, classmates and professors have been... Read More

George Washington University is a great, but expensive, school. The surrounding area is also very expensive.

Thus far, I am happy with my experience at GW. I do feel that the value of the education and experiences I receive here will pave the way for my future successes. My existence here has opened several doors for me already which I thoroughly appreciate. Every institution and program has its flaws or things that do not necessarily appeal to each student. However, these are also the things that contribute to the level of diversity in these programs and experience. Increased financial support for graduate... Read More

I love my classes at GWU. I think my professors are attentive to the students and are knowledgeable about the subjects. Unfortunately, GWU is very expensive. It is expensive to live in DC and is difficult to work while being a full time student.
