Poor communication Do not follow up appropriately or adequately No communication between departments. No follow through Creates stress I started at UTA in their MSN FNP program. This is highly advertised as a program that you can take while you continue to work. I would say workload wise that is true- however, I asked if I could take breaks in between classes if I wanted. The answer was yes, I could take up to a year off between classes without having to reapply. So I took a semester off after I... Read More

I went to UTA for both my BSN and my MSN. I have no regrets. Once you get into the BSN program in undergrad, they went out of their way to give me scholarships and grants without me even applying for anything. The BSN program was top notch and I had 5 job offers before I graduated. Less than two years later, I obtained my MSN in nursing administration from UTA. It was about $1535 a class, but the schedule was flexible. I was easily able to work full time and go to school. I paid for it out of pocket,... Read More

The university was great. They really helped me with my studies and understood some of the hardships I faced during the program. The classes were tough, but not impossible. I also really enjoyed the collaboration between the faculty and the students.

This Family Nurse Practitioner program is extremely hard. The program is evolving due to student complaints about the practices of some professors as it realties to their testing and quizzing feedback (or rather lack there of). Overall, the program is competitive and informative.

The online community "feeling" was lacking but the work load and supplemental activities and options were amazing, I am learning more than I ever imagined, but I do not feel like I am involved in a community of online learners

Some of the highlights I have experienced while attending UTA are the accessibility of the instructors. Taking courses online allows me to work and continue to pursue my desire to attend graduate school. At the same time the workload is very overwhelming and the need to cut back on work is also a problem.

This program is great, but they are still working through a lot of kinks in regards to workloads, organization and the professor's utilization of blackboard and technology. Overall, the education is quality, but if not focused it is easy to get discouraged.

Great program, but lots of transition because we are new so they are still working out the kinks. Although it was frustrating to change the program from 2 to 3 years projected graduation, the decrease in workload makes it worth it!

I find the curriculum to be challenging and competitive. I feel it will prepare me for the next level of my career. Since it is an online academic partnership it is fast paced and i do not think UTA has enough preceptors approved for their program. Their are many nationally certified preceptors that are not on UTA's preceptor list.

The online program in this school is spectacular. Everyone involved is easy to get a hold of and each one is very helpful. I appreciate the smooth process and the supportive staff.
