Welcome to the worst University in the universe. I am doing online master program and I had two courses at the same time, I did not know that. This is online master program and students cannot take two courses at the same time. But I did it. I failed the one course because I did not know that. Either my professor or AP coach or my advisory informed me about it. As a result, I failed the course and I have to pay the course fee to get the course. Last year, me and my friend asked our advisory to take... Read More

Pros: Affordable online degree. Good communication with instructors when needed about an issue. Cons: Syllabus/expectations are sometimes changed during the course due to unknown state requirements or added items to curriculum. Sometimes feels that the online course is an after thought.

I am currently an Academic Partnerships student at the University of Texas at Arlington. This program is an online Master's program, and I am pursuing a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Literacy Studies. I was concerned that the online atmosphere would reduce the course rigor, but I have not at all been disappointed in that regard. The professors are highly interactive and available, the coursework is challenging and relevant, and I'm able to use what I am learning immediately... Read More

The University of Texas at Arlington has a great online Curriculum & Instruction program. The instructors are very helpful, communicate well with students, and facilitate discussion among the students.

Pros: The online graduate program is very convenient, as I can access my coursework from nearly anywhere, as long as I have a computer. The faculty support is also extremely wonderful, as they are always available for questions or with any problems I may have. Cons: Because it is an online program, I do not have the benefit of face-to-face interaction with my fellow cohort members and it is a requirement that anyone who chooses the online route to be a self-starter and very independent while working... The graduate program that I am in is very flexible with my schedule. Since, I am a teacher, I can go to classes in the evenings. I wish they would offer more classes in the summer so I could complete my degree faster.

The classes that I'm taking are all online, so I was unable to comment on the campus questions. I do however love the online program. I'm a full time teacher, mom, and wife so time, availability, support, and cost are major considerations. I chose this online program because it fit my career path, was the most cost affective, and I loved the flexibility it provided with my hectic schedule.

I like the flexibility of the online classes. With that, it is very difficult to speak with someone about classes, schedule, and graduation requirements. There is often a lack of communication between the deans and students with regard to class cancellations. I missed a class that was only offered during the summer because my adviser failed to inform me of the added requirements. This has caused my graduation to be extended one whole year and has cost me thousands of dollars. I love the instructors... Read More

UT Arlington has a great education program. Classes are offered both online and on campus for convenience. The professors are well prepared and always available for help. The only con would be the order some of the classes have to be taken with certain classes being prerequisites for others.

I am in an academic partnership program so all my coursework is done online. I take one class every 6 weeks so the workload is enormous compared to the graduate regular student. The program has an excellent support system and gives help any time it is needed. I cannot tell you how much I have learned and the nice part is you learn and apply the knowledge in your own area of interest, rather than in a generic class. I highly recommend the academic partnership program.
