Before I started I was told I could begin on academic overload. Then the story was that I'd be able to after taking their fake 1 credit "college success class" that had no point and big brother written all over it. Then I had to complete another semester. Then the dean wouldn't approve academic overload because 3 days before the end of class with every assignment turned in and a 98% wasn't an actual "A" grade until the teacher issued it and he wanted to wait. Read More finally able to begin academic overload even though the academic counselors lied to me (and are impossible to reach if you have a problem) and the actual school standard is 6 credits. The next delay is that you can only take PRJ classes one at a time and they wont schedule (or didn't) schedule them paired with a regular class. So when all you've got left are the last four PRJ classes your forced to drop back out of academic overload "for your own good". They added literally months to the time its going to take to complete the degree program with their dean who can't rub two brain cells together and dishonest scheduling practice. If your ever able to reach them with a problem there is no actual solution they can offer. You just dance around fake answers until you realize they don't care and nothing is going to change.

Read some reviews on here and here's the honest truth. If you're not self-motivation, an online education is not for you. That's not just at Grantham, that's anywhere! While there are professors to help you, it's primarily up to YOU to do the work and research to "teach" yourself. I've doubled up on classes as taking one at a time isn't overly challenging or time-consuming, and I work a full time job and have two young kids at home. I'm down to my last 4 classes and have a 4.0 GPA, and I spend about... Read More 2 hours a week doing all the work, per class. Some professors are better than others and will provide quality feedback, while others are just collecting an easy check. Again, you'll have good and bad professors no matter where you go, this isn't exclusive to Grantham. Granted, I haven't had money issues, tuition reimbursement, so I don't know how the school would act or handle it if I did, nor have I had to withdraw for any reason. I do, however, have a gripe that they only allow 2 classes at one time, and no more than 12 credit hours in a 16 week period. I think this is extremely shortsighted when it comes to highly motivated people. My adviser is good at communicating with me, the Dean for Technology was, admittedly, useless when I brought my concern to her about taking more classes, as she just cited the school policy, completely ignoring my GPA and outstanding academic posture. Overall it's an okay school, some good, some bad, but again, that's like any other school.

The staff at Grantham have been absolutely wonderful and accommodating. When I was searching for a school to help further my degree I didn't have to look much further than Grantham. From day one they have been in contact with me to answer any question I have about the program and with specific classes. Professors are prompt to respond to emails and they reach out to their students when it may seem like they need help. The advisors are very helpful when scheduling classes and give recommendations...
