Daily academic experience can be frustrating. Class sizes are extremely large, especially in core and prerequisite courses, which makes it difficult to feel engaged. Many lectures feel more like huge auditorium shows than actual teaching, and it’s hard to ask questions. Because of the huge classes, building rapport with professors is nearly impossible. Office hours are limited and often crowded, and interactions are usually rushed. Most pre med professors are knowledgeable but difficult to understand... Read More

I feel like I received a great education at the University of Central Florida. It was mostly contruibuted by the fact that most of my professors had been actively working in the field as they were also teaching. They were able to provide a very hands on learning experience and provide a prospective that can only be gained by years of experience.

I really liked my time at UCF. I enjoyed my professors and never had any issues with them or with the curriculum. It was always very easy to get in touch with anyone I needed to and the time I spent there helped me prepare for a career and also pushed me to become better and try harder.

During my time at the University of Central Florida, the staff, faculty, and even my peers cultivated a sense of creativity, ambition, and academic excellence within me that has propelled me forward in my aspirations. The coursework and support of the school has also instilled me with the confidence and capability to pursue my dreams. As their motto goes: "Reach for the stars." But this is not just a motto. It is a culture that is evident at every level of the school; to drive, motivate, and inspire... Read More

I had a relatively good experience at University of Central Florida. I was a biology major, but felt that the science department, mainly the chemistry department, was weak. I graduated years ago so I hope it changed, but it felt like a very unsupported department. Rude professors who did not teach well. Aside from that, I feel the college provided lots of opportunities with clubs.

I really enjoyed my time at my school when I went there because I had lots of opportunities to get to explore what all I was interested in learning about. I also loved how my school was so large that I had may options of activities and programs in which I wanted to participate. This is what ultimately made me change my major halfway through my original degree program.

During my time at University of Central Florida, I found that most of my time pursuing my degree felt like a waste of time. Perhaps due to the nature of the school being a business school, or the Emerging Media major being experimental, I felt like the school forced us to take a bunch of classes that weren't relevant to the major. I didn't feel like I had resources to further develop industry level skills, and didn't have as much opportunities compared to others at different schools. Most of my peers... Read More

UCF was a great school that had many qualities that were good like the campus, resources, and some classes really applied the experience learned which provided added benefits for future employment. The things that brought it down a bit in my opinion would be the amount of students accepted made it really hard to get the classes that I required to graduate, another negative aspect would be the outsourcing of teachers that weren't the best for being an educator as it was harder to understand or just... The hybrid schedule made it easier to further my education while signing full-time. The coursework and homework were able to be completed in plenty of time even with my busy schedule. Group projects were challenging with most graduate students working and completing coursework.

My experience at the school has been highly positive, reflected by a perfect five-star rating, and I would certainly recommend it to other prospective students. The institution offers a strong academic program, receiving a four-star rating, and I am satisfied with the career impact of the education I have received so far.

UCF's computer science program is unfortunately extremely outdated. When I graduated in 2021, they were still starting off by teaching basic C and basic Java. Realistically, there are a very limited number of modern companies who use anything even remotely related to those languages.

Overall I would say my experience at my school has been pretty good. I will say the environment and the campus life is great and most of the academics are pretty good. However I will say at least in the business route some of the professors are straight terrible and need to be changed.

The University of Central Florida is a great school for aspiring college students! There is a sense of duality with the college. While the college offers many degrees and has a wide expanse of classes, people, diversity, and opportunity, it also has a campus that supports a social life! I remember in the few moments I did have to explore and be social, there were many on campus spots, like restaurants, social clubs, and parks. The university is also surrounded by Orlando and its suburbs, so plenty... Read More

Looking back, I'm so grateful that I decided to attend the University of Central Florida. While I sometimes felt like a number in my prerequisite classes, the learning experience once you begin your core degree classes is unmatched. Professors genuinely remember you, your goals, and aim to assist in any way that they can. For me, this meant that many professors were willing to write letters of recommendation when I began applying to grad school. In addition, a UCF degree carries weight and recognition... Read More

My experience at UCF online has been amazing. I chose this school to transfer to online so that I could complete my bachelor's, and I found the transfer process really streamlined and easy. The courses offered are interesting and the professors are top-notch. Getting in touch with my advisors and financial aid was always easy, and I always received great advice. I'm really happy with my experience with UCF and would highly recommend it to anyone!

UCF was an excellent place to make friends and connections. I learned a lot in my classes and felt mostly prepared for a career. However, some majors at this school were significantly better than others. People I knew in computer science, IT, marketing, forensics, and aerospace engineering majors all enjoyed their degree and found jobs after graduating. I was in digital media which went through a lot of changes during my time as a student that impacted my ability to form connections and seize opportunities.... Read More

This major sucks! It was a waste of time and tuition. The professors don’t care about your career goals. They get annoyed when you visit them during office hours to discuss the lectures and get career advice. The prelaw courses were nothing but busy work. Those courses did not help when I went to law school. Nor did this major help to improve my LSAT score.
I also wouldn’t recommend the Legal Studies program at UCF either. Once again, those courses assigned a lot of busy work and I never developed... Read More

I do not recommend. Professors and curriculum are excellent. Field placement and zero support in the field was a huge disappointment. Administration is completely out of touch or just do not care for how students are treated. Financial aid office was challenging when they do not pick up the phone or transfer you around in an endless circle.

Degree: Executive MBA
UCF Markets the Executive MBA as a degree for executives. Less than 50 percent of my cohort was in any form of management. I was one of the few in the program in that was had executive leadership experience. Unfortunately, I was required to travel for work and was going to miss 4 days of school. The leaders in the program were unwilling to work with me and allow me to attend virtually for those days. For those looking into the program that may have to travel stay away. Also, if you are looking for... Read More
