The best thing about this program is the campus. The program itself is great but being located on a health center campus with a children's hospital and university hospital on-site and a veteran's hospital being build on-site provides great opportunities and skill growth. The campus is designed to be an interdisciplinary campus and programs/classes are set to involve other health care programs (nursing, dentistry, medicine, PA, etc.) so collaboration skills can be strengthened. Many of our professors are well known in journals and/or are authors of chapters in a commonly used pharmacy book (DaPiro) used in many pharmacy schools. A con of the program is the neighborhood of the campus. Living near the campus requires careful selection. The neighborhood has greatly improved over the years since moving to this location but safety and comfort comes at a cost near the campus. However, there are still plenty of options slightly farther away from campus for students to live at and many students prefer the distance from school.
