I am currently attending Pharmacy School at UF and there is nothing that I don't love about the program. It is not by accident that is rated top 9 in the nation! The material that the professor teach is always very relevant and they make sure we understand it and take time to answer any questions and concern we might have. They also take into consideration our professional development and emphasize how each one of us will be representing the profession of pharmacy and how important it is to not lose focus on the goal of our practice: take care of the patient getting them healthier! Faculty are paired with a group of 6 students as their advisor, which I think it's great because it gives access to an actual pharmacist for advises and tips not only in regards to school but also to your building career. Moreover, we each are assigned to a practicing pharmacist mentor to ask further questions and give you a head start in networking skills. All lectures are offered online and all class activities are done in group: this gives you the chance to actually come prepared when you got class and learn invaluable teamwork skills when you do in-class activities and group quizzes. You also get to work in activities with other students from other colleges (medicine, nursing, etc.) After all, once you will enter the health care, you will be working in a team, whether it will be a group of pharmacists or other health care professionals. There are lots of after school activities offered, volunteer programs, and research opportunities to expand your CV as well as your skills. UF College of Pharmacy does really a great job at preparing the pharmacists of tomorrow and I could have not chosen a better school to prepare me for my career.

University of Florida College of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy program offers an excellent clinical track for those interested in clinical pharmacy. It provides instruction from top notch clinical pharmacists in an interactive learning setting. It grooms students to have high level of expertise coupled with pristine attention to detail. Read More college provides limited but expanding exposure. For instance, those who are interested in working in pharmaceutical industry often have to seek their own networks and opportunities with little support from the college. However with a recent addition of student organization such as the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) the exposure for the students is growing. Introduction of the new curriculum focused on interdisciplinary and team learning has added a much more futuristic type of training for the incoming students thus producing much more well rounded future graduates. In conclusion, I believe that the this particular Doctor of Pharmacy program offers pristine training to those who are interested in pursing a career in clinical pharmacy. The 2016 residency and fellowship placement rate of students from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy was among the highest in the country. The curriculum and multitude of student organizations give students an opportunity to gain experiences that would allow them to stand out as a residency/fellowship candidate.

I am a recent UF graduate (c/o 2016) and will continue my studies towards my PharmD at the University of Florida this upcoming Fall 2017. UF is for sure the best college in Florida and one of the best in the nation. The quality of education is great and for the price you pay (around 6,300$) compared to other schools in the nation, I think it's a good deal. Read More I do see the difference in the way materials are taught and also what you get out of it at the end of the course. There are many clubs and opportunities available at UF for you to maybe shadow someone in the career you want to undertake or have experience in the field you want major in. One downside of the school is there are a lot of students just as talented and capable as you are, so the competition is high for sure; this however should not discourage you but rather push you to do your best. You will not get to know many of your teachers here, as I just mentioned, there are many students, but this happens at most universities. The school is quite diverse and every one seems to be friendly. I am proud to say that I am a gator and will always have good memories of UF! I know the education I received here is invaluable and will help me in my career and the name of the school surely holds its prestige and reputation that will look great on future job applications.
