The Social Work graduate program at the University of Houston provides vast knowledge of social work both clinical and macro. The program also provides specializations in a variety of different areas. The program is very affordable for in state and out of state students. The faculty do a great job providing students with the right education, resources, and hands on experiences for future careers. University of Houston is one of the highest ranking MSW programs in the area. The curriculum is competitive and the courses are very relevant to clinical practice. There aren't that many funding opportunities for mainstream students, especially those returning to school after full-time employment. I am, however, excited to get the opportunity to go back to school and pursue my master's degree.
