So far UMGC is sub par in almost every instance of pedagogy, as compared to friends and peers in MBA programs. Additionally, advisors are embarrassingly unhelpful, and seemingly condescending. Save you money/time and find another school that is interested in developing professionals. It’s been a complete disappointment.

I would recommend UMUC to any working adult, working mother, or anyone looking for a flexible way to earn a top notch degree. UMUC prepared me to be a future leader and would highly recommend its MBA program to any person looking to advance his or her career.

It was incredibly convenient - fully online, while I was working full time. The online course work was challenging, but the online portal made it easy to complete assignments. Having a fully online degree program with students around the world can be problematic - group assignments were difficult to complete sometimes due to different time zones. But overall, the degree program was excellent for a working professional hoping to increase their education and credentials by earning a Masters degree.... Read More

UMUC is a great school. I am currently enrolled in UMUC for my Master's of Business Administration (MBA) program. Being a service member of US Army and completing my degree at the same time is not easy but UMUC has made this possible and easy for me. The MBA program of UMUC is very flexible as it fits perfectly into my military career. Being in the military, you move around a lot, both within and outside the US. UMUC have been making this easy for me.

From start to finish the application process is made easy. You have counselors reaching out ensuring that you are all set for admissions. They have a student center that is more like one stop shop. I just love this awesome school. The MBA program has been revised and I just love it. They have it well structured.

Umuc has a great MBA program that is challenging and rewarding. I am taking all my classes hybrid style which is a combination of face to face meetings combined with an online component. I love this style because it allows flexibility that an online class gives but at the same time provides all the benefits of a traditional face to face class. I would highly recommend this program to anyone.

I enrolled here based on a recommendation from a friend and fellow UMUC MBA graduate. In hindsight, I wish I had taken my time to choose more carefully. This program pushes paper out the door efficiently as long as you pay, so if you're self motivated, you can learn and earn your degree, but so will a handful of other ignorant slackers that barely put forth any effort. This was quite frustrating and disappointing so you'll have try your best to stay focused and select to work with the right group... Read More

The graduate program was great because it allowed me to learn and study at my own pace in an environment that encouraged students to really dig into the material. The downside is that because the program is online, it makes collaborating with others difficult and doesn't help to great lasting connections with other students.

This university is very diverse which can be attributed to the huge military presence associated with this school. We had students from all walks of life, different nationalities, and cultural backgrounds which allowed the university to give a unique learning experience to their students. This specific program was great because you go through the program in cohorts, so even though it was online, you felt like you were able to connect with your classmates because they were there with you from the... The only pro is that UMUC has a very comprehensive online program. The con is that instructors take solace in the level of anonymity provided in an online forum and do not feel accountability to students. This lack of accountability from the teachers manifests in professors not writing back to emails, not showing concern for academic success, and being involved in classroom as little as possible.

The pros to my graduate program is that it will open doors to executive management careers which include the federal government which I am very interested in. Also being a Hispanic and having this type of degree would most likely give me an extra push on everything I do in life.

The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) is a great school to attend if you do not want to take the GMAT. They have a rigious MBA Program where you are grouped with a cohort throughout the program. The student gets the opportunity to build long lasting friends, networks, and alliances. The university is committed to minimizing the costs for course materials, and the professors provide extension feedback for the student's growth. I am an alumnia, and I found myself back at UMUC pursuing... Read More
