Pros: USF's Morsani College of Medicine has become more diverse over the years. They continue to bring in a more diverse set of students which contributes to our education. It will allow us as future doctors to better understand our future patients. The staff and faculty are extremely nice and are willing to assist us whenever possible. They often ask for student input on ways of improving certain things at the school. The grading scale is on a pass/fail system, which has decreased the competition... Read More amongst the students. This I feel has made students more helpful to each other.The students are friendly as well.Another plus is that the lectures are recorded so students have access to them at any time. Cons: The class size is about 160 students, but in your first year, physical therapy students and a few master students are also in your science lectures, so the total amount of students is about 200. So for an individual who likes a smaller class size they may not like this; however it actually isn't a bad set up. The auditorium fits everyone and it allows us to interact with another discipline of the health field. Outside of the main science lectures, the class is broken up into groups of 8 for the doctoring courses, which is a good thing.
