The USF college of pharmacy is a very new program, and as such the faculty is still learning and tweaking the curriculum. All faculty, professors and administrators of the college of pharmacy have been great in facilitating the process for us thus far. The staff are all very young, which has its own pros and cons. The positive side to that is that they are going through much of the same thing in their personal lives that we, the students, are. Getting married, starting families, just starting their... Read More careers- it's nice to be able to relate to our professors. However, many of them have just been hired within the past year, so there is still a learning curve for them! The curriculum at University of South Florida is why I chose this new program at all. They focus very much on interprofessionalism, with the Pharmacy students interacting and taking classes with nursing and medical students. Out of the other schools that I interviewed with, this was the only school that took that concept as seriously as I did. I would clearly say that the organization can improve, but considering that I am in the fourth class since the college's inception, disorganization is expected. As of now, I would say that the Financial Aid office could be extended- it is only one woman at this time, and our class has yet to get our financial aid. This is putting much stress on the first years, many of us living off of our savings. However, I greatly appreciate the fact that the administrators acknowledge that they are behind, and are very apologetic. Overall, the University of South Florida is an amazing school. I attended USF for undergraduate studies and have chosen it for my Professional studies as well- choosing their program for their unique and interprofessional focus of their curriculum over very highly ranked schools. I am a proud Bull & bleed Green & Gold!

I absolutely love the school of pharmacy at USF. I think the curriculum and professors are amazing. Everyone wants to see you excel and do your best. The faculty and staff are always available to assist you when needed. The only complaint I have is regarding the surrounding neighborhood, however, that is outside of the university's control. The university actually warns new students about certain areas when shopping for apartments, which I found extremely helpful since I was completely relocating... Read More to a different city with no friends and family.
