The Public Health Masters program at USF is wonderful. The professors are very knowledgeable and supportive in your degree and your future career. Please note this knowledge is over 10 years old, so some things may have changed. Attending USF itself can be quite frustrating as it is very large, though. Parking is a nightmare, and you can expect to have to walk over a half mile during the busiest times at school or find no parking at all. But other than that I have mostly pleasant memories of USF,... Read More

This school is just going downhill the professors they have are terrible and don't understand technology or how to use it properly. It's ridiculous that multiple people with a PhD can't even write proper English let alone use a program correctly. I give this program a 0/5 for how helpful the Professors and staff are. I graduate with my Masters and really learned how out of touch they are once I got my first job.

Excellent professors that really teach you the foundation of the field. It isn't an easy degree, but it's well worth it and the professors and research opportunities given to students set the school above and beyond. They are well deserving of their top 20 ranking in public health.

As an out of state student going through the School of Public, it was difficult to make friends. Part of that I think was due to my program, living 30 minutes away my first year, and not having grown up in Tampa. However, I loved the health education program and would often go to the undergrad library for studying, writing papers, and drinking coffee!

USF is a great school. lots of job opportunity on campus, graduate jobs, study abroad opportunities, I am absolutely happy i transferred to USF. Easy learning scheme, professors are really nice and willing to work with you. Loads of internship opportunities.

It took only online classes but they were all great. My professors were very Knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in pursing an MPH degree.

USF disastrously launched a DrPH program long before they were ready. When I arrived on my first day and met with my advisor, the first words out of his mouth were, literally, "I'm too busy. Find someone else." Quite a welcome. None of the faculty had ongoing projects for me to get involved with / receiving mentoring through, like you would with research on the PhD side. Because they also handle the online students from various certificates, it is literally hundreds of students per faculty - which... Read More

I am proud to say that I am attending USF's School of Public Health. They are the best school for public health and are steps ahead of all other schools with this graduate program. They have a new type of alternative schedule that combines all core classes into one, so students can see how all concentrations of public health work together. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in pursuing a graduate degree in public health!

Fully Online and therefore technologically supreme, but lacking in organization with faculty and academic advising.

The online distance learning program is better than what I expected it would be. The faculty are outstanding and well educated in their fields of study. They are willing to communicate at any time even with time changes and being online.

More student support for anxieties and mental health would be beneficial to the program.

This program has the benefit of a diverse faculty, all of which are extremely encouraging of students to pursue research whether it is their own or part of a faculty member's research. The program requires international field experience in order to graduate, this makes graduates of USF competitive in the international health job market. On the downside, USF is primarily a commuter school, meaning very little parking and transportation in Tampa as a whole is difficult.

The Public Health graduate program has a strong foundation but lacks the financial resources to really be an asset to their Masters level students.

The pros of my grad program is that is it online and the professors are extremely responsive and helpful. On the downside the location of USF is not in the safest neighboorhood. But as long as you stay away from 275 you're okay.
