I recommend Brandman for working adults who are like anything in life, DEDICATED. Going back to school is not an easy task with family, kids and work. But Brandman is geared towards those who get babysitters for one day out of the weekend to DEDICATE to their school work. No need to drive to school at specific dates and times, you as a student have to put in your 2 hours after work or after the kids go to bed or take your lunch hour to do some reading! This school or format of learning is NOT for those out of high school who need school counselors, parents and greek houses. For those who say the eight week course are intense, yes they are! Keep up just like the 16 week courses at traditional schools. Those who 8 weeks is not enough time to "learn", really, what is the difference between reading 2 chapters a week versus reading 1 chapter a week? How are you not learning?

And last point, let's face it, everyone in college is to get that degree to get that job. No employer is going to ask what you learned in that 16 week English class and compare it to the next candidate who took an 8 week class.

Let's read these posts with a grain of salt and get the facts about the schools and what is important to you and your specific situation and be honest with yourself on your desire, motivation and realistic dedication to obtain that degree.

I was looking at an online graduate certificate program and came across Regent as it is the only school that had the right career path for me. I wanted to be able to use a veterans discount since my dad is a Vietnam veteran. This whole process was a little frustrating, At first I was trying to get a little more information about the program itself I was transferred to one of the admissions staff who was helpful. Read More When we got transferred into the veterans department at the school we had mentioned that we had some questions on what was covered. We were very confused at first because the actual VA office was telling us one thing while the school was telling us a different thing. After going back and forth I had some assistance with my parents who knows about the VA office and we kindly asked her to call the VA office she flat out refused to help us and states "it is clearly mentioned on the website" and was getting hostile which was extremely inappropriate behavior. We asked to be put on a three way call so that we all can be on the same page together to make sure and she clearly didn't want to go through that process. Also another thing to keep in mind is the price change. After applying and getting accepted I was all looking forward to it but then one of the admissions staff who I've talked to before told me a different price for the certificate program. I mention it clearly it states the program cost $515 which he had to double check to make sure and of course it has now change to $530 pretty much the same price for a master's degree per credit hour with only 15% of veterans discount, which isn't terrible but misunderstanding there as well. A lot of folks were friendly and helpful it was just a very disappointing process.

This university has made it very easy to focus on everyday activities. Even juggling my now five children and when I first took the medical records program I was already determined and focused. When I enrolled, I thought I was going for the Medical Assistant class. After few months I realized that they had signed me up for the Hospital Administration Course. The classes did not prepare me for anything at all, I failed the HUC exam because the last module was solely dedicated for this. All the microbiology classes and the anatomy classes is really redundant. The billing and coding that was included was also out. What the hell did I signed up for?? I felt cheated!
