First of all, people that bad mouth this school probably went to this school expecting it to be easy because I thought online schooling would be easier than attending a campus. My sister is going to a college located in my town and she is also an online student and I compared my their online learning system to UoP; OLS with UoP is way more active than the one the local college have. Also, for you people that did not know, UoP helped other schools set up ther Online Learning System.

Anyway, back to... Read More the topic. Just like a brick and mortar school, there will be instructors you aren't going to get along with, maybe because the way they teach doesn't click with you or your way of learning. Does it matter where you get your degree? I could have went to the local college in my town and earn a degree but what good is it if I do not know anything after earning that degree? I attend this school and read ALL the reading materials! and I do independent study myself with my own books or internet source. People that wrote negative comments about the school probably just did the weekly assignment and participated then waited till next week again to do any reading. I spend about 4 hours a DAY! studying and just like any other school, UoP will teach you the basic and work their way up. I had some classes that were easy that I did not have to do much but when it comes to my IT classes, they are very challenging.

I earned an associate degree at a local community college before enrolling at Liberty. As such, I enrolled in Liberty's online program having previously experienced a traditional academic classroom environment. I attended Liberty full-time and did every class online. I earned my B.S. in Religion in May of 2012.

I'll be honest, I was skeptical about online education at first but after the first semester I was highly satisfied - so I continued on. I must say I am very impressed with Liberty. My classes... Read More were rigorous and fun.

Comparing both a classroom and online environment is not easy - both have their pros and cons - however, I believe that my online education at Liberty was just as good, if not better, that my classroom education. It seems that most people put this school down because of it's religious stance.

However, the school is blunt about it's Christian faith so it's difficult to feel sorry for those who attended knowing full well what they were getting in to. Go somewhere else if you're not a Christian. It's that simple.

The University is not a waste of time. I do not know what all of you are complaining about, my instructors and advisors have called me almost everyday to see if everything is going alright and if I need any help. I believe that the ones complaining are the ones who most likely failed classes and just want someone else to blame.

When I was in a classroom setting it was terrible. As for the 400 word papers go, in any college do you think that the instructor actually reads your work? No they do not they... Read More just make sure all of your formatting is correct. As for financial issues, you knew what you were getting into by getting loans, now quit being a baby and pay it back.

It is not any of our faults that you either got into a degree where there are simply no jobs or you failed.

If you are going into engineering, you need to take the AS degree pathway. I could have been taking my engineering classes a long time ago. A.A. is a complete joke because once you transfer you still have 4 years left to graduate not 2. However, the engineering professors should be fired or have better supervision because why are there so many bad reviews of them? If you want to become a better school, especially because a lot of people do go to UCF, which is known to be a research institution. Why... Read More are there not good professors for the engineering courses? I would say that Valencia is on the same boat as Rollins college, and that when it comes to engineering, it is a complete mockery because it is poorly organised. Rollins college it's not even a real school because you have to transfer to a different private institution to complete your engineering degree. Valencia loves to hide the intro to engineering the other ones as well because if you don't take them to Valencia. You will have to make up those credits, which most likely are the 4000 level class, when you can take intro to engineering (Which is very easy) at Valencia. But no, instead, you have to take a 4000 level at your university that you transfer to. Valencia should honestly just promote more of "transient student" for the math and science courses. No wonder why it takes so long to complete an engineering degree, because it feels like it's nearly impossible with the amount of misinformation and generally it is hard, but you have to complete a class before taking the next one, and that is setting people back by many semesters.

To put it bluntly, College of Southern Nevada (CSN) was my last resort and now I wish it wasn't. Reason being is because CSN has 3 campuses spread throughout the city, and while you might need one class at North Las Vegas there is another one you need that can be only taken at the Henderson campus. The problem is they don't have all the classes you need at one campus which causes many students to take the RTC bus throughout the day sometimes taking 3 to 4 hours depending on which campus you're going... Read More to. You live on Charleston and want to go to the Charleston campus to take all of your music courses? Too bad! Also, if you were the type of kid that didn't care for high school gossip and bs then don't be a part of any extra activities at CSN. Clubs become cliques very quickly and a game of he said she said. Degrees can also be a hassle to figure out as you may need 6 credits to cover the humanities part of your degree but 17 credits to complete the electives in your degree. However they only have classes that start at 1.50 a credit to a max of 4 credits, yet most electives are 3 credit courses that won't add up to 17 credits. Doesn't make sense, does it? They do this so you have to take a 4 credit class that costs more or another 3 credit course to cover that 1 credit. Always talk to a counselor that is for your particular degree DO NOT go to a general counselor at student services because they will confuse you. Financial aid will not pay for classes that you're on a wait list for, so beware when disbursement day comes and you're still not enrolled they will not pay for it. This can be extremely frustrating since good professors are taken up quickly. Most professors that work here will tell you that the reason they are still teaching is because of mortgage payments, the recession, or student debt. You can tell as most will do the bare minimum to help you or completely leave you to figure things out on your own. I have spent time and money on classes that aren't even towards my degree, because I didn't make a high enough score on my math assessments. I had to take 3 additional math courses to even get to college level math to complete my 1 math requirement. This is coming from a student with a 3.7 GPA and to deal with these inconveniences while maintaining good grades isn't easy. There are too many hoops to jump through to get the information you need. I am graduating next semester and I can't wait any longer to get the hell up out of here.

College of the Redwoods was a great school. The professors and students there were amazing. The only issue that I had with CR was the advising department. They gave me bad advice more than twice. If I had not caught their mistake it would have taken me an addition semester to graduate. Pushing my acceptance to Humboldt State out another year. Everything else about the school was awesome.
