Student Reviews of Online Programs

I have been reading these reviews with mixed feelings. I started taking classes a month ago in a newly designed (first class) ASNursing program and I have nothing but GOOD things to say! Sure there have been snags and weeks where no one was really sure what was going on but that was due to it being a new program and the kinks needed to be worked out. The head of our program emails everyone almost daily. The instructors are very knowledgeable and have impressive stats.

I have a friend who is going to a community college for her LPN and she just spent 700 on books and that was only for one semester! The books they gave us were brand new, still in the wrappers! So for all you out there that are bad-mouthing ITT for one obviously your not serious about your education and for two if you don't want the hassle of paying back the loans, then stay out of school! I don't care what school you go too, your still going to have to take out loans!

I for one like the idea of not having to be on a waiting list and keep putting off something I've always wanted to do. I wanted a school that focused on just nursing, and that is exactly what the program here at ITT does!

I signed up for Keiser August 2011 and i had no complaints up until now.I loved their class sizes and their class schedules and the fact that everything is pretty much laid out for you, so there is no rush to try and take a class cause you have your schedule for the year.I WAS suppose to start my OTA program August 27th and they even made me file for Financial aid and their loans before telling me i wasn't going to be able to start it AT ALL. i say that it is best to avoid this school.

Also they give out the wrong information about what an OTA Salary is ( i happen to know what it is since i work for one of their sites where they send the students to do nternships) and they are over populating OTA's into the workforce which means fewer jobs when you graduated.None of this is mentioned at any point.

I am excited to be a part of Rush University's College of Nursing because I feel part of a very strong community of dedicated and respected health care professionals. The only downside to being in this program is that I live too far to take advantage of the on-campus activities and support. The university does its best, however, to include those active in distance learning, by offering online services that support those participating online.
