I enjoyed my experience at Capella. I am in my final quarter. The only thing I am skeptical about is how will my degree be viewed by employers. Now that I am focusing more on my career search, I am scared. I currently do not have a job. I was a stay at home mom and decided to pursue a degree online. I will recieve my BS in Business Administration from Capella. Because I dont have a job already, Im just worried how this will be percieved on my resume by employers.

I would not recommend this school financialy, but you will get a good education if you apply yourself. Thats the realist review you will get, trust me!!!

University of Phoenix is the perfect fit for just about any kind of student. What I love about U of P is that they understand and embrace that every student is different and has a unique style in which they learn. I went in with high hopes. I came out as a fraud. The degree states in Healthcare Management, but I had NO HEALTHCARE Management classes at all. Just generic classes. So my degree should not have listed a focus. Some of the classes felt pushed like they wanted you in and out, but nothing felt real, so retaining the information from the classes was not easy. In addition, they changed the curriculum classes from the time I went in, and about half-way through, so the classes I thought I would originally get was nulled.

It was not difficult to register for classes, as opposed to some public colleges I previously attended. Instructors were very active and helpful. This school was a good fit for me because it offered the degree I wanted in online format. I had to work, so online classes fitted my schedule very well. Although classes were conducted online, classmates were very interactive by communicating via Blackboard.

National University is outstanding. I am prior military and is one of the most military friendly schools I have attended. Staff and advisors are excellent and help with all question and any guidance needed. If you like a challenge, this is the school for you. The classes offered are advanced and only four weeks long. Classes can be taken on campus or online which were equally challenging and enjoyable. While in California I had the opportunity to take on-campus classes at their multiple locations,... All my professors I have had were outstanding in both instruction and understanding the students. National University also offer classes throughout the day, so there is an option for night school. This was perfect for my schedule because I worked during the day. Night classes also gave me the opportunity to meet and network with other students that are in the same field of study and career. Classes average three to four hours and three to four days a week including Saturdays. National University teaches students time management, responsibility and the drive to succeed.

Well I had some outstanding debt, which would take a while to reconcile. So enter University of Phoenix. I completed some survey and next thing you know people are calling, and e-mails are filling the inbox. So after talking with the advisor, we agreed on a starting point. I was coming into the school with some 80 credit hours. I was simply trying to finish as quickly as possible and move on to next degree. All in all, it took a little over a year to complete. Now, like others have stated, it ended up costing more than what I thought, but nowhere near what others have paid. And financial counselors are terrible. As others have stated, they conveniently miss calls or should I say ignore calls. But I would contact any and every other counselor. I would also save e-mails and send with return receipts to prevent the old, "I didn't get that e-mail." As others have stated, there are people enrolled who should not be. They either have no capacity, devotion, or commitment and it really does hurt others who are more "committed" to completing an education. There are dropouts, and remedial students, and nothing wrong with them per se, but they should not be enrolled. No other institution would admit such student. Actually, there are other for-profit schools which would admit, in addition to the University of Phoenix. Anyway, I got my degree from this school, only because I got the degree in the field I was already working in. Can you imagine going here to learn computer science, and not being in the field? What would you learn. Now I did have some good classes, and some really bad ones too. But as someone said, it's what you make of it and your mindset. I knew I was going on to grad school, definitely NOT UoP. It's funny because when you are scheduled to graduate, the counselors again try and start re-recruiting students for masters' programs. If employers won't accept an AA or BS, they're certainly not going to accept a MBA. I took my UoP degree, and applied at a traditional state school, after passing the GMAT and was accepted. I completed all the coursework and earned my masters' degree. So in the end, because I was in a crunch for time and wanted to quickly fast-track my way to a graduate degree, instead of taking one or two classes for years to finish undergrad, I got what I wanted. To be honest, undergrad degrees are now like high school diplomas as more employers are preferring masters degrees. So my advice is to go to community colleges, which now have online programs at a fraction of the cost and complete the first 2 years of coursework. Then transfer to a 4-year university which is more reputable. If you do go to UoP, finish and then go to a traditional brick-and-mortar school and get your grad degree online or on campus. Many schools have weekend college, online programs, and offer flexibility. Lastly, when I got my masters, I no longer felt like I had to justify UoP to friends, associates, or employers. I'm sure many of you know that "look" you get when you say you went to UoP. My masters degree lets employers and colleagues know that I did go to a school which is competent, and held in much higher regard.

I truly loved my undergraduate experience at Bennett College. Not only was it a school that provided me an immense amount of scholarships it is also a school that afforded me the opportunity to travel abroad for free to countries including China and Belgium. If I'm being honest, when I was first applying for colleges, the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) was my last choice. It is located in a smaller city so I wasn't really interested in going there. However, due to financial reasons, I decided to attend the university and, thankfully, it was one of the best decisions of my life. UNC is an incredible school. Almost all of the professors I had were very knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful. It was clear to see that they wanted each of their students to be successful. Second, there are many clubs and organizations to choose from for students to be involved on campus. Personally, I was in the African Students United group and I had so much fun in the group and made a lot of friends! Lastly, even though Greeley is a smaller city, there was still a lot of fun stuff to do in town. My friends and I always had some event we could go to, and we were only bored if we didn't take the time to look. So overall, UNC is an amazing school. Of course, it all depends on each individual, but I had a great experience and I would highly recommend this university to any incoming students.

The Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University has been life changing for me. I started college a lot later than most people usually do. My senior year of high school, there was a point that I didn't think I was going to graduate. I struggled through the first few years of my college experience.
