I LOVE Walden! The support I was given during my bachelors, was what I needed to know that I seriously can do this! That I can do anything I put my mind to with the right support! I want to know that I can accomplish graduate school at Walden at my best, without being as sick as I was during my bachelors.

Capella keep advertising itself on Facebook saying that it's a good school. It is a god school however there are some things you need to know before you attend. First they do not grade on the weekends. So if you finish a class on Thursday or Friday you have to wait until Monday to get your grade. If you have a question that you need to ask the teacher in order to finish your assessments you have to wait 48 hours for them to return the email. All teachers have 2 business days to grade your paper.... Read More

I live in the middle of no where and I work full-time. Without the flexibility of this school going back to college would still just be a dream. It used to bother me that the school got such bad reviews, but having been at Phoenix for awhile now I can see what happened. It is a very easy university to get in to. I like that. I began my undergraduate career as an on-campus student. I found living in on-campus in Tucson wasn't really my sort of scene, so after I semester I moved back home. After becoming an online student, I did better academically than I had when I lived on-campus. Resources such as the ThinkTank can be very beneficial. I personally found advisers to be very wishy-washy. When I transitioned from on-campus to online, I met two amazing advisers who I only spoke with briefly. After I finished my transition... I completed my associates and my Bachelor's Degree at this school and i really enjoyed my experience. I was able to work full time and be a parent while doing so. I would tell anyone to be very wary of transferring into ASU and when dealing with advisors. I have been royally sd for the upcoming year by having some pretty c****y advising that has left me without required credits that I was previously led to believe I already had earned, and I am not having to do those credits and take yet another semester (I was supposed to graduate this coming Spring). I am a surprised at the negativity regarding Liberty. One person complained because worksheets did not follow the reading exactly. For others who may find this concerning keep in mind that this is college, not high school, and critical thinking is expected. If you cannot read the material and explain it in your own words while including your own thoughts on the topic, then you need a community college that expects rote learning, not a university. Before enrolling at CCU I verified that they were an accredited institution. However, after graduating and trying to apply to accelerated BSN programs, I learned that NO ONE accepts transfer credits from nationally accredited schools. I graduated in November 2010 with a B.S. in Psychology. U of Phoenix is a school that forces students to apply and prove their knowledge through research papers.

I have heard too many times how it's a diploma mill and a scam. I do agree that it's very expensive. However, just because it's a "for-profit" university making money, I don't believe it's any different that non-profit Harvard that has millions in endowments.
