This college is one of the few colleges that actually prepare students with grant writing and program evaluation courses. Surplus aid is paid within two weeks of course beginning. I highly recommend this school. A 2.5 or higher gpa is good. Check out this school first.

Working in the fire department means that I have an unusual schedule which is not favorable to gaining a college education. I am attending Arkansas State University's online Masters of Public Administration program and am scheduled to graduate in December 2017. This program has been great, especially for students with abnormal schedules. The curriculum is challenging and the university staff is extremely helpful in assisting you towards your academic goals. I would highly recommend this program.

I have been highly satisfied with Arkansas State University so far. I was drawn to this school due to the affordable tuition costs. The online program is amazing and really helpful for a non-traditional student like me. It was essential for me to find a fully online program since I have two little ones at home. I love the shorter term for each class only being 7 weeks long because I feel like I accomplish so much in a short time. The admissions process was easy and I had people contacting me along... As a current federal employee, I decided to go back to school to obtain my master degree. ASU offered a complete online MPA which has allowed me to continue working and being a full time mom of 2. ASU has been nothing but helpful in every aspect in returning to school. I originally graduated from ASU in 2006 with a BS in Business Administration and I knew that I wanted to return to ASU for my graduate degree. With the MPA being fully online, it better fit in with my hectic schedule. The professors... Read More

I just currently enrolled at ASU to earn my Masters in Public Administration. So far my experience has been wonderful. They have staff that will follow up with you during the application process. Their job is to be there to answer any questions and to make sure things are running smoothly so you get the application in on time. The financial aid office has been very helpful and reminding me what to complete so there are no issues paying for my classes. I've loved my experience so far and cannot wait... Read More

It's an easily accessible program, but sometimes the class sizes are too large. I'm only two subjects in and I feel the topics are very interesting, but because the classes are online, I don't feel like I know my professors or that they have much of an interest in my work. I'm hoping this will change as the coursework becomes more advanced. The students are all very nice and offer advice and feedback.

I absolutely love attending Astate Online. Academic partnership is the best thing I have discovered. The program is affordable and the 7 week classes are perfect in achieveing your degree in a timely fashion. The financial aid process was simple and I have not encountered in issues. The workload is very sufficient for assignments on a weekly basis on the graduate level. I the network is available everyday at any time as needed unless specified days prior. I am glad I found Astate online!

Pros: great online student services, support from all levels of staff and professors, courses are divided into quarters. Cons: classes can be high-stress and difficult course load, no real professional networks can be formed online

I am currently enrolled in the online MPA program at Arkansas State University. The online program allows me to continue my education at ASU while still being able to work my full-time job and will allow me to further my career. Yes, the 7-week classes are intense and fast-paced, but honestly, I prefer them that way. I do miss being on campus and being able to interact with other students and my professors.

You can take traditional classes or online classes, but there is no hybrid right now to allow both. Also, your financial aid will be drastically reduce if you choose the online option because you will not receive housing aid. Overall great program!

I love the accelerated program that I am in. The online classes are only 7 weeks long with a one week break before beginning another class. The instructors are reachable. The program is highly accredited and the pricing cannot be beat. The coursework is pretty intensive. Be ready to work!

Decent program. I wish that faculty would submit grades more often than they do throughout the course.
