The program is great for people who have no background in public health at all. If you have any schooling or experiencing in PH or any PH related subject try a different school. Most of the curriculum is focused on teaching very basic PH concepts. The program was recently changed and these changes have really downgraded the program as a whole. BU's School of Public Health offers a great graduate program that helps to prepare you for a career in public health. The certificate system allows for you to gain multiple sets of skills, and able to handle real world issues. Every class I've taken at this school has in some way held value for me, even if it did not particularly contribute to my concentration. I received my MPH with a concentration in epidemiology. My biggest complaint about BU's MPH program is its lack of faculty and program support. My assigned faculty advisor left after my first semester and I never was given another one. I also found the career services severely lacking. I received very minimal help with resume and cover letter prep and job hunting. BU is very expensive and I felt that the classes were too large and the program too big to provide the type of mentorship and guidance... Read More I was expecting for such an expensive school. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Public Health degree from Boston University. This program offers an incredible opportunity for experience & knowledge gain. Read More practicum, which is very easy to come by in this hub for public health. I am so happy that I decided to apply to BU, and that they accepted me! The best decision I have made in my life to date. BUSPH is an awesome program, however, it's very expensive. GraduatePrograms.com offers an incredible amount of information for curious people interested in graduate programs. A scholarship from this fantastic tool would greatly help my financial needs while continuing to remind me the well-rounded support they provide graduate students!

The BU Masters of Public Health program provides a comprehensive view of public health through coursework across interest and discipline including biostatistics, epidmeiology, socio-behavioral health, and enviornmental health. I am struggling to meet my basic living needs while working at the city hospital (unpaid), and acquiring debt in loans.
