DO NOT DO IT!!!!!! Read this CAREFULLY. Their program requires 88 credits. Do a simple online search, most others require 60. All of their courses are 10 weeks long. Most other MSWs are 8. More course work, and more money for your degree. Their internship requires TWO SITES/SUPERVISORS. This is a MAJOR pain in the ass if you’re a working adult with limited options. The practice education team is TERRIBLE. They don’t respond, they don’t care.

Speaking from the heart. Capella has provided me with the confidence I have been lacking in the last several years. I have become my best advocate in my career. It has helped me challenge myself to do more, be more, and encourage more to do the same. At the same time, Capella has taught me to be humble and understanding that not everyone has the ability at the same time, to do what they need to reach their goals. Goals can be attainable, but it is up to each unique individual to determine their path.... Read More

I do not recommend this school at ALL! Not support from advisors or professors. Adobe connect is the worst, it never works. I do not recommend this school to anyone. To top it off it is very expensive. I enrolled here since they offer tuition assistance for spouses and I was looking into an online program so when we PCS school can come with me. But I do not recommend capella at all.

So far, the experience as a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Capella University has been above and beyond excellent. The instructors are competent, cooperative, receptive, and also tremendously passionate about the social work field. During residency, we are given an opportunity to interact with fellow students and the faculty in person to gather important information that may help us succeed throughout the program; there most activities include but are not limited to lectures, small- and/or... I have been in the MSW program since July 2016. I am taking one class at a time because I have a full time job and a family that keeps me busy. If I chose to take a 2nd class, it would limit my time with my family and I'm not willing to make that happen. I love spending time with my family and would like them to understand that school is important, but so is family. We all continue to make sacrifices, but it is with the understanding that mom is going to get a better job and be able to help more... Read More

Capella University was an excellent choice for me. Being a stay at home Mom and caring for a special needs child made it hard to attend a traditional school with Capella I was able to accomplish my educational goals. The courses were great and communication with my instructors were always open.

I enjoyed attending distance learning courses while serving my country in the military. My duty location did not prevent me from obtaining a higher education.

Capella University was very conducive to my educational goals. Because I had to work fulltime while going to school, Capella's online classes allowed for me to achieve my goals while working for a living

Capella University was a great school to attend. Having the online only option was perfect for someone like me who was a stay at home Mom raising two children, one with special needs. I was able to focus on school as well as the needs of my family because of the schedule.

First and foremost all levels of higher education requires money. I love the challenge that Capella has to offer and so far the instructors have been awesome.
Yes i have read all the negative and positive reviews about Capella, thing is EVERYONE IS ENTITLED to their own opinion. Sorry for those who didn't like Capella and hurray for those who didn't like most people do, judge Capella based on reading negative reviews.
