Speaking from the heart. Capella has provided me with the confidence I have been lacking in the last several years. I have become my best advocate in my career. It has helped me challenge myself to do more, be more, and encourage more to do the same. So far, the experience as a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Capella University has been above and beyond excellent. The instructors are competent, cooperative, receptive, and also tremendously passionate about the social work field. During residency, we are given an opportunity to interact with fellow students and the faculty in person to gather important information that may help us succeed throughout the program; there most activities include but are not limited to lectures, small- and/or... I have been in the MSW program since July 2016. I am taking one class at a time because I have a full time job and a family that keeps me busy. If I chose to take a 2nd class, it would limit my time with my family and I'm not willing to make that happen. I love spending time with my family and would like them to understand that school is important, but so is family. We all continue to make sacrifices, but it is with the understanding that mom is going to get a better job and be able to help more... Read More people. Capella provides me with opportunities to learn and grow within my profession, which is exactly what I need. I continue to find that each class gives me invaluable insight into my current job in case management. I am able to talk with my clients on a deeper level and gain insight into what they are dealing with and how I can help them. I highly recommend this program to others seeking an MSW as it provides not only online education, but real world value. Another great aspect is the residencies. I've completed one and the experience was amazing. I learned so much in that one week, it was intense, but so worth it! Good luck to you in your endeavors and I hope that you choose Capella!

First and foremost all levels of higher education requires money. I love the challenge that Capella has to offer and so far the instructors have been awesome.

Yes i have read all the negative and positive reviews about Capella, thing is EVERYONE IS ENTITLED to their own opinion. Sorry for those who didn't like Capella and hurray for those who didn't like most people do, judge Capella based on reading negative reviews.
