Florida State University has allowed me to grow as a person. Many colleges or universities attempt to use students to make their stats look better to the public. However, FSU shows students how they can be great at the university and provides resources for those students to succeed. I have attended FSU as an undergrad and grad student and held multiple jobs and positions in registered student organizations on campus. Read More of education at FSU has provided ample opportunity to work alongside other high school teachers and experience hands-on learning. Academic departments across campus provide students with staff support and technology, making it accessible for all students to succeed. This is a great way to begin building your network for internships and job opportunities after graduation. One of the main reasons I chose to attend FSU was the sense of community I felt from the first time I visited campus. The school spirit and pride could be felt as I walked around. Even with a large student population, its easy to get involved and find your home on campus. It still feels intimate, yet there are thousands of opportunities for academic and recreational activities. My greatest piece of advice for prospective freshman is to find a college or university that genuinely cares about its students and will help you be the best it can be, rather than using its students to be the best ranking school.

Florida State University is a beautiful campus filled with wonderful faculty and staff that are eager to help you reach your full potential. The large majority of my teachers were helpful, friendly, and skilled in their field of study. If I ever had questions about my course work or needed help, my teachers usually delivered quick response and action. The housing on campus is also a high point of my experience at FSU. One of my biggest priorities when choosing a school was to go somewhere that I felt safe. During my time at FSU, I can honestly say that there was never a point when I felt unsafe or in danger. There are safety stations across campus where you can alert campus police of any trouble you may be in and the campus police always responded very quickly. Overall, Florida State University is absolutely an amazing place to get an education. Based on my stay, tours of other colleges, and talks with friends that attended other colleges, I can honestly say that I would not have wanted to get my bachelor's degree anywhere else.
