Florida State University isn't perfect. It never claimed to be. Sometimes you will have a bad professor, and even in the names of the building you will come across history some feel is better forgotten, and others know should be seen as a reminder. But, it more than makes up for these deficiencies with professors who care. That will go the extra mile to help you succeed. With a student body that challenges the status quo and is always striving to make sure that our campus does better. FSU isn't just... Read More

Florida State University is an amazing school! It has one of the top MSW programs in the state, and is highly competitive as a result. The quality of the instruction is excellent, and the staff and faculty are always completely engaged with their students. I will always be a Seminole! Thank you Florida State!

Florida State University is an amazing school. I completed my undergraduate degree in social work at FSU and am now completing my MSW at FSU as well. The school has excellent teachers that are very knowledgeable about their field. I felt very prepared for my career after graduating with my BSW and am confident I will also be just as prepared graduating with my MSW.

Florida State University is a school you should try to attend if you want to be a Seminole. Decent classes and a lot of different opportunities to get involved with. It's not near the beach, which is a down side, but it's an overall okay university to attend.

The faculty at Florida State University's College of Social Work are exceptionally kind, helpful and inspiring, Furthermore, they offered a rigorous and accredited part-time MSW program which made it possible for me to pursue a degree while working.

I'm in the FSU distance learning program for the MSW. It is not online but at a different campus other than the main FSU campus. FSC actually rents space from UF and I attend class there on certain weekends in the semester. The program is a wonderful program. Even though I'm not on the main campus the staff and teachers still make me feel as if I'm a apart of the school. All of the professors have been available to us even when they are back in Tallahassee and take time to help with any work.

I feel the MSW program is excellent. I am currently enrolled in the distance learning program where students are able to balance working fulltime, a family and still obtain a graduate degree without feeling like we are getting any less of a quality education. The workload can be time consuming and it is difficult to juggle graduate level classes with working fulltime and caring for a family but I feel that the way the program is set up students not only learn the material but from one another through... I am a single mother putting myself through graduate school in order to obtain my Masters in Social Work. I went back to school in order to myself and my son a better life. I have had the ability to do that while still be able to support our family full time in the Distance Learning program. I would like having more physical contact and collaboration however, with the discussion boards and groups we are still able to have that cohesive learning environment.
