It only took a few months of attending class with Full Sail for me to realize the education I was receiving was something special. For two and a half years I received instruction on industry standards, learning everything from editing, web building, copyright, and even the importance of a work life balance.

Classes are accelerated and each takes only a month to complete. This, in my opinion, was great. It kept things fresh, and allowed you to dedicate yourself fully to a project at a time rather than spreading yourself thin between 3-4 classes. Plus, if you weren’t a major fan of a classes subject (cough cough, I’m looking at you college mathematics) you weren’t stuck there for the length of a traditional semester.
This isn’t really a testing school, rather a project school that allows you to practically apply your skills. Now, don’t get me wrong, there are tests at some point, but you don’t have to wager your grade on hoping you remember what a single button in Premiere Pro can do. Project based work at Full Sail allowed my class to be creative with everything we did.
Your student success team does care about you. They will call to check on you, they will help you find jobs, and even write you recommendation letters. Just because you graduate doesn’t mean they don’t care about you anymore. In fact, they call me more now as a graduate than as a student. Utilize these services because you’re paying for them!

When I applied, they weren’t weirdly trying to push me into committing to something I wasn’t ready for. They’re human and they treat you like one. I’ve gone to universities where they treat interactions with potential students like a car salesman. You don’t have to worry about that with Full Sail.
If you have the opportunity and the funds, then Full Sail is an incredible place to receive your education from. There is even bragging rights that come from attending. It’s a prestigious institution! Good luck :)

I have mixed feelings about this school. Some classes are decent, and some are absolutely horrible. But thats not the meat of my complaint. I have a problem with the mandatory IL workshops we must attend to pass the class. The workshops are good for those interested in them, and they can be very informative, but they shouldnt be mandatory....especially when they decide pass or fail. People have lives outside of the school with families, work and so forth. This school seems not to understand that.... Read More I am looking to transfer simply because if these mandatory workshops. People are not willing to take money out of their pocket by not being able to work just to go to a workshop. If you plan on attending this school, hopefully you have money saved up or parents with deep pockets, because you will be depending on them as long as you go to Full Sail. I am on my way out and have basically given up as far as my degree program.

So far, I have had some doubts about Full Sails capabilities. However, the support that I receive from liaisons has been superb. As far as the classes themselves? I have had a class to two in which I got generic feedback. But to me that is fine when I compare to the actual feedback I get when I ask for it. I am an online student and I am aware that the teachers also teach in class. I have been able to figure out a lot of ting on my own to get my assignments done. A lot of people will complain about...
