Degree: Creative Writing

Dear Online Students, The creative writing program is very much a make it on your own process. The instructors are masters in their craft. Most of them have established themselves in the entertainment industry, and they have knowledgeable advise to give student of interest. These are not professors in education. The curriculum is eye catching, but most of the classes are not organized to where a student will be able to follow instructions through with ease. You will get an opportunity to correct... I've earned both an undergraduate and a graduate degree from Full Sail. The course of study for both degrees provided real world, practical insight and education for my fields of study. People know that my education isn't just theory and are more willing to work with me. I highly recommend this school to people wishing to work in the entertainment industry.

Full Sail University is an artistic school that have helped many students to achieve their dreams. I am one of them who have struggled in life due to my factors such like discriminations because I am lesbian and woman with hispanic background. For many years I always wanted to become a graduate student who one day will give a hand to those people who are in need of love, financial support, motivation, like I was before. Full Sail University is a school where professors and students maintain a pleasant... Read More

Pros: Industry standard programs and hardware. Textbooks included with tuition (computer is additional, but it's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you get it from the school), so you don't have to worry about ordering your books yourself. Teachers have industry experience. Networking is fun and effective. Public transportation. Cons: If you use VA benefits, the advisors are hard to get in touch with. Career support is going as good as the places you already/trying to live. Don't try to get TWO jobs, it's not going... Read More

Full Sail University's Creative Writing program was awesome. I would put it up against any other Creative Writing MFA out there. The online program consisted of the same education quality as the campus. The teachers were always accessible, and they are working writers themselves, with real entertainment industry experience. Their Creative Writing MFA program was a challenge, but the course work was valuable and applicable to the writing industry. I would recommend Full Sail to anyone looking to enter... Read More

The program overall was great. My only regre is that is the school is only nationally accredited versus regionally accredited.

PRO - I've improved 300% has a writer, especially as it pertains to professional competitiveness and preparedness. (i.e. learnong protocol, formatting, industry standards, great books, etc.) PRO - Most of the staff and faculty are very nice, respecful and helpful. CON - There's not enough information on legalities, contracting and how to acutally make money as a writer. CON - Career Services doesn't seem very helpful. (Perhaps they're waiting for graduation to become more enthusiastic.)
